I am actually regretting cancelling my eBay plus. I need some HS100's but don't want to pay the $15 postage from Computer Alliance :(

    • +6

eBay plus gets alot of hate but it ended up being worth it for me.
I'm just hoping they'll offer a cheap renewal. I'd be happy with $20 coupon.

      • +4

It's not much of an offer, but you can get a renewal for $39 using the following link if you were interested.

        • Awesome. It's at least something. Cheers mate.

        • My subscription's due for renewal on 18 October but I get .."Unfortunately, this promotional offer isn't available to you" using that link

          • @Luigi Savadamoni: Hmm maybe it's for accounts that lapsed / inactive / new subscriptions?

          • +1

@Luigi Savadamoni: You might have to unsubscribe, wait for it to expire and then try accept the promo. It expires 31/12/19 so should still be there when you need it.

            • +2

@FireRunner: can confirm this will work. my 2nd account had expired ebayplus and this code worked on that.

eBay joining the likes of Groupon, Supermarkets, Rug retailers in only being able to sell something / promote with a % off offer

    • Well they pass this onto sellers.. they have jacked up their take :) and ontop of that papal take a slice of the pie as well.

      All good for shoppers though.

wireless1 selling the asus rt68u for $199, with the phizz15 code in the product pic. if true, price will be $169 ($167 best price last month)

  • Wish they wouldn't bump up the prices so I could buy the Intel NUC

    • +3

I wish we wouldn't promote vague and mysterious 'deals'.

  • Code still not ready

  • +1

    new code is PHIZZILE

  • +4

What the heck are these "eligible items" that I keep seeing in all these ebay sales?

    • +1

Eligible items == [nothing in your cart] + [everything you don't want] + (very rarely)[something you want, but at a newly inflated price].

  • -1

    Any good edifier speaker deals

    • +8

      • Get a cat instead

        • +1

Got one of them already ;)

  • Is there a search link?

  • +2

Absolute joke of a sale. Very selective and everything is way overpriced, much of it even after the discount is applied. Highly misleading, even by Ebay’s flaky standards

    • Yet we're all here hoping to score a bargain.

      • Hope is what keeps OzBargain alive.
Without hope, OzBargain would have shut down ages ago.

  • Yes…phizzer…

  • +3

'Eligible' refers to sellers who are willing to comply with eBay's price jacking practice.

    • The code acts strange on similar type of items from the same seller. For example the code works on the $539,Asus x570-e from Wireless 1 but doesn't work on the $629 Gigabyte x570 Master.

  • +2

They're getting lazier and lazier with what 'eligible items' are… at least they used to give a list of sellers.

Also why bother having a coupon? Prices are jacked to hell for majority of items, sure there might be a couple of deals amongst it but those should be posted separately, in all honesty.

  • +3

It still boggles my mind that I cant do a search of the eligible items to see if the item I want is there. Does ebay think by trawling through their list of items I might impulse buy something else. Wrong!
