[Refurb] Lenovo M93p Intel i5 4670 3.40GHz 8GB Ram 500GB HDD or SSD Options $179.10 @BNEACTTRADER eBay

360
POPPER10

Following on with yesterday's deal of the Lenovo Mini's and the bunch of "what else have you got, because I missed out messages" We have a surplus pallet of the SFF i5 M93p's.

I've dropped the price down to take advantage of the 10% discount code. The machines are more or less worth more apart than what they are together.

There are some options if you wanted to change out the regular HDD to a new SSD

These machines are able to take the GTX 1650 LP Cards which we stock, they can be purchased in addition too any machine. Here (They are an upgrade only, not for individual purchase)

Can they hold more than 1 internal HDD? Might be good for a NAS

  • So, what SSD options are there to replace the 500GB HDD? Bit confused on the wording.

    • Click the deal link?

      Prices before discount:

      120 GB SSD - $229.00
      240 GB SSD - $249.00

    Rep - two questions:

    1) I presume the 500GB HDD is the same one that's been running in the case since day dot - hence the price markup for the SSDs?
    2) The PSU in these by default is usually 280W. The recommendation for the GTX 1650 is 300W. While I know the intel chip is only drawing about 85W and the graphics card 75W which leaves a significant overhead - whats your support like for the good old blue screen of death or rebooting issues?

    • All products are covered with a 90 days RTB warranty unless specified different

But plenty of Ozb put 1050Ti onto their i7-3770 dell 9010 Opti that has like 220/240w psu

      • Not completely related, but I had a SFF Dell with an i5-2500. I paired it with a GTX750ti and unfortunately the PSU blew up after about a years worth of WiiU emulation :'(

I'm glad that others have been more successful with the 1050ti

      Hi

      1. Yes pretty much, pricing difference is the cost price of the new SSD.
      2. It's well documented that the LP GTX Cards work perfectly in these type of machines. We have been selling machines with this configuration without any issues.
  • What brand ssd?

    • ATM stocks are either Western Digital or Crucial

  • Thanks @Calmago. Just ordered one with 240GB SSD. Thanks for your help in my queries earlier too.

  • How would this go as a Plex Server? Could it transcode 4k media? Say 2 streams?

    • You can always check the cpu benchmark against what Plex has and recommends on their website.

  • I'm tempted as HTPC. The only issue is my hifi system only takes coax digital audio in.

  • Thanks OP, ordered with 240SSD.

  • Any similar offers for a Lenovo M93p Tiny with lower specs than yesterday's one (eg. i5)? :)

    • +1

Just be aware that the Tiny uses a much slower i5 with only two cores.

  • Might be a dumb question but does do speakers plugin to this, regular orange green and black plugs? And does it have dvi

  • OP, Those that are ordering SSDs, are you going to remove original spinning 500Gb HDD totally or they'll come as 2nd Hard drive?

For example, look at this OZbargain deal earlier, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/473132

Does not matter either way, not a deal breaker. But if you do not intend to sell old HDD separately, it is probably a good idea to keep those as 2nd HDD for extra storage. Just IMO.

FYI. Here is something cheaper but less powerful on eBay.

    $89.00 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-Optiplex-9020-SFF-Desktop-I…

    • Bargain!

    • Just be careful - the pcie x16 slot on the Dell SFF is so close to the OEM power supply that the Low profile GFX cards are a tight fit and doesn't give much breathing space.

I believe the Lenovo SFF has an additional x16 PCIE port and the PSU is located on the top of the case which makes it more easier for expansion slots (not that you can put in much as the PSU is 240w i believe)

      • +1

Yes. I have one of these Dells and they are tight on that slot. I don't have a gaming card just a standard low profile card for display.

  • What sorry of condition are the cases in?

  • What are the physical dimensions of these please?

  • Optical Yes

Not clear what kind of optical drive is in these, anyone know? (Is it a reader or writer, not fussed on brand)

    • +1

They are DVD-RW, it's been the standard for a long time now.

      • Excellent! I haven't bought an optical drive for a long time now ;)

  • Thanks OP

  • when promo code POPPER10 is used it says "This code has expired"

    • not as good, but you can use PATPAT for 5% off.
