  • Anyone knows this brand? Is it a quality trolley jack?

Thinking to buy it but would love to hear some feedback before

  • Merged from Stored Rep Posted This Deal on a Pittsburgh Trolley Jack. Is It Any Good I Can't Find Any Reviews

    Hey bargainer fellows,

The store rep of Tool Warehouse posted this deal last week https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/486326#comment-7805914

Turns out the the trolley jack is still discounted on their site https://toolswarehouse.com.au/products/pittsburgh-1700kg-1-7…

I was waiting for a promo for a trolley jack so it's perfect timing but can't find any reviews online.

    Anyone familiar with this brand?

    Thanks

They are pretty much a copy of a copy of a copy of every other low profile China made trolley jacks sold by everyone else. ie: same factory, different stickers…

Supercheap has a similar trolley jack for $45. I have this one for doing a few jobs at home and it works fine for 99% of what most people would need it for in their garage.

      • Thanks for your input.

The SCA one is rated for 1600kg vs 1700kg for the Pittsburgh one.

I don't know if it's the way the picture is taken but the Pittsburgh one looks wider and the main arm more robust than the SCA one.

Though the SCA one is a bit cheaper.

Arf I don't know which one to order

      • Can vouch for this one. I keep one in the boot of my car for the oil changes and other basic maintenance. Had to change a tyre once and was glad I had this vs. the included scissor jack.

        • I thought one of the rules about reducing fuel consumption was don’t carry excess weight. Why do you keep it in the boot for a 6monthly service?

          • @Euphemistic:

Why do you keep it in the boot for a 6monthly service?

            Negligible weight really

        • Thanks I ordered it.
Turned out it was cheaper that SCA who charged 15$ for delivery (no click&collect available)

Where is the stored rep? Is he ok? Does he have enough food/oxygen/water?

It should be fine. Also, might be worth reminding (for anyone who doesn't already know), but never get under a car supported by a trolley jack. The pneumatics inside can and do fail. They're for lifting only. Always lower onto jack stands. Otherwise, just get drive on ramps.
