    • Good luck with that Grey Imports

        officeworks now beat grey imports

        • Has to be an identical product, and not all grey imports have same Australian charger so gets denied. Good luck to all but I always get no luck for such reasons and bla bla.

    • They don't appear to have any stock and not available online either.

Don't worry about likes. See what Facebook is doing

    • Huh? Why is Facebook Likes relevant to this post? Are you comparing Facebook Likes to Ozbargian Likes?

        It's about performance ..

Has been $401 bucks during all the last few eBay sales, from Aussie sellers no less. But if you can't wait for the next sale, decent deal. Great phone, got it for the missus and have been tempted to get one myself ever since considering it goes for much cheaper than the one I actually want.

Either way, I won't be spending more than $401, so I'll bide my time some more.

  • This or a pocophone F1 for a non tech inclined mate?

I'm leaning toward the poco but it doesn't have NFC (but it's not an essential feature for him anyway)

    • Look at the K20 instead of the F1. Has NFC

    • pocophone F1 is last year generation Xiaomi if you wanted current generation Xiaomi closest to pocophone would prob be the redmi mi9t/K20

for non tech inclined person that is not going to bother to flash roms and just wants a simple OS i would prob go the OPPO as it has a very simple OS thats easy to use

but this price aint great i would wait for it to drop to $400 again which i can see happening soon as OPPO has some more devices coming out in October which would push there current models down at least abit.

      • Thanks to you and strat above, reason I was looking at the poco particularly is that it falls nicely just over $400 which is basically the upper end of what he wanted to spend (low, I know, but he is really the most rudimentary user)

Waiting a bit is definitely an option but the specs on this Reno are a bit average in comparison it seems

  • What's opinion about Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite? It has NFC, IR Blaster & B28 too

    • Would also like to know this. IR blasters are life for me.

      • Catch & Kogan sells it … So far what I have learn is it's better than Mi 9 SE.

  • Hard to find local stock of this phone at the moment. Not sure if they have just sold really well or if stores are hanging out for the Reno 2Z

  • I never really understand these kinds of deals, can someone please clarify?

    • Grey import, no real warranty (maybe there is, maybe there isn't)
    • 1/2 price of a top-line phone (S10), but probably gets outdated / broken / miss updates sooner, so you will need to update your phone 2x frequently
    • For the same TCO you could get a better phone (S10)

So overall, why buy this phone at all?
