Corona Extra Beer Bottles 355ml (Case of 24) - $44.64 (+ Bonus 4000 Rewards Points Worth $20 via App) @ BWS

540

First time posting so apologies for any mistakes. Noticed it is only $55.80 for a case of Corona Extra beer even though the price states $62 for 1 case. Go into your cart and the price will update.

If you have rewards card, you earn 2000 points when you spend $50 or more. Worth $10 for your grocery shop

Edit: price has dropped to $44.64
If you receive an email about extra bonus 2000 points if you use BWS app to make the purchase https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/487082 , you are technically getting 4000 points (worth $20) .

Use your wish/woolworths gift cards for an even bigger saving!

Terrible price, normal price at DM $47.95 per case of 24…

Quick search before posting will show you if its a good price or not mate.

    • +3

yeah i checked DM was this price. My post was more the fact after the savings from being a woolworths rewards member, you can get it for even cheaper

      • +1

Thats if people are targeted which you should also change this deal to…

        • +4

Also should change the title. It's not $35.80. It's $55.80 + 4000 flybuys points (if targeted and using the app). Not a great deal…

          • @NigelTufnel: You get a +ve from me after the price drop.
Mine ended up being $43.20, plus I should get 2400 points according to my email (2400 for $40+ spend at BWS). Didn't see anything specific about the app though, but used it anyway.

      • Yeah bws sometimes get to Dan's price or sometimes beat them but their reward offers often make it worth it * especially if you throw the w wish cards in top

My dad got a spend 60 get 4800 Woolworths points before. Christmas

It is a good price cos your saving still $12.15

I need a beer to sit down and work out the OP.

    Jesus christ, this place now

    The whole internet in general.

Oh how I miss the 90s and early 2000s

    • +1

      are you hurting?

      • Daily

      • No, they are hurtin.

    • +3

Yep, some people take themselves far too seriously.

  • I see nothing

      Should have gone to SpecSavers

  • +1

I'm not sure if superbarn is local to Canberra but the majority of the time they sell Corona 24 for $45

  • +2

Another option - Guinness for $59 - which is actually a good price (vs Dan's at $74.99), with the points as a bonus if you're targeted. By the way - check your various emails as it seems to be highly targeted - I've seen $20 off now (over $50), $10 off now and $10 off your next order (min spend varies), 4,000 points as per OP, or 3,000 points - depending on how you're targeted. If your a good ozbargainer who rotates their rewards cards, you may have one or all of the above.

  • Yeah if I had a targeted offer I would buy something $50 or more for $20 points that some in here don't understand are powerful as can buy all gift cards with them .

    • -2

Fully understand what you can do with the $20 worth of points. It just wasnt at all what OP had originally posted and was very misleading

      • +4

Thanks for the feedback. I will try to be more accurate next time

      • +3

        Eh.
Saved me heaps and I wanted corona sometime before summer, so feels like a bargain to me.

The site is still called. Ozbargains isn't it?

        Not pedantic quarterly.

  • I miss the $32 Corona deals

  • targeted, my offer was only 1,000 pts + 2,000 using app

  • I didn't have any points just the 5 off and the 10 for app.
    Had a 10¶dollar Woolworths rewards + a $5 refund + e wish

Ended up paying 24 from my egift card balance
I know it's not actually that cheap but when I'm playing grim fandango, drinking a corona and sipping on patron come the 2nd of Nov, I'll convince myself it cost 24 bucks :)

    Thanks OP

Even Aldi beer is better tasting. And cheaper.

Some harsh critics. I think the 4000 points is a great deal.

Spent ages looking on the BWS site and no actual deals but we usually buy great northern original 30 cans for $49ish and they are $56 so not bad to get $20 off a future shop.

It pays to occasionally check bws.
They seem to smoke too much crack some days and just put out the best price around.
Or make errors like that week where everything was 30% not just wine.

    Good times.

It shows $42.48 in cart for me. I am in VIC.

  • It shows $43.20 in cart for me. I am in NSW.

  • I am in NSW and using the app. You can add one bottle of bombay shappire GT to cart for $0.00 (RRP $7.5). Happy long weekend :)

  • I'm in QLD. Just paid $43.20 and got a bottle of bombay sapphire g&t for free (albeit a little one).

    • Reasonable deal, I'm not seeing any 2000-4000 points only +44.

Downloaded app, linked rewards and just opted in for emails hopefully something comes through.

  • Hmm weird on website it shows $60 for one carton when adding to cart it shows $43.20 with a free Bombay GT, you get a plus from me now op not a bad deal 👍

  • I got the $50 spend, get $10 plus $10 (email + app) offer, but nothing is coming off the price at the review and checkout page. Does anyone know where the discount should be showing in the app?

    • I think you earn reward points worth $10 (*2) on your everyday rewards card.

I didn't get any free Bombay GT though :(

      • My offer is for $ off, not points. Actually wish it was for points!

    • You need to activate the offer, log out of the app & log back in. It will show as a discount in cart if you have the $ off offer.

  • $53.50 in cart for me. QLD

    • I get $43.20 For Springwood area ? weird.

  • Vb stubbies slab $39 melb bitter slab $43 jimmy slab $63 single cases only per order

  • Good Intel! Cheers Op.

What app are we talking about? Woolies app or BWS app?

Seems to be a mix of BWS and woolies offers here?

    • BWS app. Link your woolies rewards card in app (and check if you're eligible for bonus points) before purchase.

You really dived into the deep end with your first post 😂

I don’t understand how this is the best selling beer in Australia. You can’t even drink it without lime.

    • Consistently one of the top ten beers sold in the world too. Heartbreaking, I know.

  • What’s a good choice for $2 spend to push the price over &50 for the points?

    • Maybe a single bottle (arc valley, hollandia, coke, chips).
