  • Lets hope we can get a good deal on Blank Friday sales :)

  • If I bought my S10+ few weeks ago from JBHIFI, can I go and ask them for free buds now? :D

    • +3

Has to be purchased from 8/10 to 25/11

      • And I realised it doesn't cover S10+

        • +2

Nah it does, just ran out of room in title. Covers

          S10+
          S10e
          S10
          Note 10+

  • No chance to redeem this if I bought a note 10+ about a week ago?

    • +1

No :( "Has to be purchased from 8/10 to 25/11"

  • I was looking at the S10 last night!! It came down to $929 in the education store with extra $150 code UNiDAYS.

  • Samsung is very quiet on GWA 2 Australian release, no word despite already available around the world.

    • Available to order now

      • Wonder if its available at a discount on release in the EPP/EDU store? I lost my access but still know friends who can get in.

        • $519 for the active2 LTE 44m

          • @Superstar15: wowee big discount from $799? I assume no free galaxy buds?

Need to hit up and old friend now to buy for me! :)

            • @noise36: according to this promo you do get them for free

  • where to get cheap watch active 2?

    • Was just thinking.

      I'm guessing trying Costco.

    • $519 for the active2 LTE 44m via education store

      • They must of heard us, price jumped to $639

        • Damn, glad i ordered mine this morning then!

        • It's still $519 in the Govt EPP store… but it explicitly says EPP customers are not eligible for the Bonus Buds promotion.

        • Yeah just got access and didn't see the price posted above, now makes sense that they don't get the buds for the lower price.

Should work out about the same selling the buds but would rather the lower price personally.

      • Can you still claim the ear buds when buying through Education?

        • According to the TCS, yes you can

  • I'd love to swap the active watch for these!!!😥

    • Really? (honest question)

I saw all they've done online is pretty much just swapped the previous free Samsung Watch deal for these Earbuds. On the face of it not having owned or read up on either I would've thought the watch was more "fancy".

      • Personal preference I guess, I'd use the headphones more than the watch.
I'm not a smart watch kinda guy

  • Is there a decent deal going on for Samsung Note 10+ 256G/512G. Not fussed about 5G but might be good to have in case of a good deal.

  • Does anyone know if a purchase through the JBHI family/friend/commercial portal would be covered by the promotion?

    • Wondering the same for Good Guys Commercial?

      • I emailed Samsung and they said It's only JBhifi stores not their online stores. Doesn't seem correct to me as how would they know it was purchased online if you get a standard invoice but that what they said in writing when emailing the promo email directly.

  • Just had a look in Samsung educational store:

    Tab S6 Wi-fi 256Gb ( blue) = $1,039.20
    UNiDAYS -$150.00

                     TOTAL = $889.20

or this deal pay full price of $1,299.00 and get a free Galaxy Buds.

    • +1

Reading the T+Cs you can purchase through the education store and still get free buds

      • No way that is too good to be true , can anyone confirm this?

        • +2

The terms and conditions of the promotion confirm it, what more do you want.

          • @noise36: Really good deal, thank you guys.

    • How much is the GWA2 in the EDU store?

I have access to the EPP store through work but it doesn't come with the buds, but the overall % of discount might be bigger.

Nvmd - I saw it above $519 for the 44mm LTE

      • was 519 for a few hours on the 8/10 but now its $639

  • How much is it reasonably sold in Ebay or Classifieds?

Anyone else getting an error "failed to communicate with address validation service"?

    • yeah was getting it and raised a ticket with their support team. it's working now for me.

    • +1

I was having this issue since Thursday. It wouldn't work from work or home and in different browsers.

I was able to complete it just now from my mobile (Chrome on Android). The address search works there. Good luck!

  • Very sad that galaxy buds are not offered for the 40mm bluetooth version.

    • 40mm bluetooth version doesn't exist in Australia :(

  • 549 for retail price is overpriced, I guess, even you can get the free earbuds.

    • Many ways to get it below retail price

  • Keeps saying invalid IMEI for me even though I got it from Costco!

      Doesn't work man.

      What URL are you using?

    • +1

No it’s still not working for me regardless of device or browser.

      • Yep. I don't know how @bbunch allegedly got it to work

        • I got it to work too using Chrome.
          Thanks @bbunch

    • Sorry not working for me. Tried on Chrome, Firefox and Edge on Android.

      • I spoke to Samsung. They advised to clear all my data from chrome history and try again. It worked fine then.

  • Update: address validation works in iOS Safari Browser

  • address validation is only works 3 times a day.

    • is only works in Safari Browser iOS my dude

  • Just worked - Samsung browser

  • Here's a work around and hope it helps if have address issues.

In regards with the website error, please try using a different browser (Google Chrome) and follow these steps as a work around:

On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app.
Clear/close all tabs that are open.
At the top right, tap More History.
If your address bar is at the bottom, swipe up on the address bar.Tap Clear browsing data.
Next to "Time range," select how much history you want to delete.Check "Browsing history".
Tap Clear data.Try log in through this link https://samsung-redemption.com/au/login.

  • Finally working for me. Just used Chrome on my PC

  • Anyone else waiting for the redemption to be verified? It’s been 3 days and still stuck at “submitted”.

    • Nope. Got it validated and done same day and approved.

    • +2

that's a lot of text. can you summarise?

      • I can summarise - Samsung have no loyalty to loyal customers and their staff training is lacking. After four days I only got my tablet back by threatening to create a scene at their kiosk. I have no keyboard, but they have kindly decided to let me keep the back cover. I will eventually be receiving a refund for the keyboard….my husband was told this verbally, I have received nothing formally notifying me of this. I will NOT be purchasing a new keyboard, I will NOT be purchasing the galaxy book or the watch that I was considering getting.

  • +1

Do you need to use/open the product to redeem the offer?

    • +1

I don't think so. IMEI usually visible on the box.

      You must provide:
      - the required personal information, including your name, email address, Australian delivery address
      and telephone number
      - The IMEI or Serial Number of your Participating Product and upload a photo of that IMEI /Serial
Number on the Online Claim Form at the time of lodging the claim; and
      - The copy of your Proof of Purchase on the Online Claim Form at the time of lodging the claim.

    • yes you need

  • Anyone's claim approved? Or even beyond that, buds dispatched?

    • Approved last week, not dispatched yet

    • I received an email from Australia Post to pick mine up two days ago. I haven't had time to go yet.

      • when were u approved?

      • How long did it take? Got mine validated today. I don't know what's next…

  • "Your claim has been validated and approved as of October 10, 2019 and is currently being processed."

    still no shipping notification

    • Did you screenshot the IMEI via the dialler?

      • I just took photo of the box… lol. I'll do the screenshot if thats the problem..

        • Yeah no chance you'll get away with a photo from the box…

          Otherwise you'd just return it

          • @Unorthodox: What? So we need to open the box?
edit: yes i just read the instruction. looks like it

  • +1

ok just fyi, someone please call tomorrow just incase different staff says different thing?

    https://images.samsung.com/is/content/samsung/p5/au/terms-co...
there is hotline for this promo
    Email: [email protected]
    Phone: 1300 362 603 (Option 9)

    i called:
say i want to give the phone as a gift so i dont want to open the phone box.
he said just take photo of the box where you see the imei/serial that is enough.
but he said only me (the purchaser) can claim the buds.

    • I'm interested to know if this works as I want to resell sealed. Only planning on buying for the buds.

      • See my post you can call them to verify.

        • I've just sent an email so if they do say it's ok, I've got it in writing. Cheers

          • @Luke o: did u get a response back?
