Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 Cel 44mm $639 / 40mm $599, BT 44mm $439 with Bonus Bonus Buds ($249 RRP) @ Samsung Education Store

200

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 just got launched in Australia and it is already available on Samsung's education store. It may even be available via Samsung Enhanced Partner Portals but I cannot verify that. (Note: EPP is not eligible for the Bonus Samsung Galaxy Buds)

Only two colours, Black and Gold are available and no choice of casing material on the Education Store, however, the 40mm version only comes in Stainless Steel material by the looks of it.

For details on bonus buds click on https://www.samsung.com/au/galaxy-offer/

I have set the expiry of this deal to match the expiry of the Bonus Buds Offer.

Enjoy!

  • Christ almighty, these shot up in price since the S1…. :/

Been waiting for galaxy watch active 2 for a while but I think it's way overpriced :(

    • Compared to what?

Plenty to criticize Samsung about (inaccurate HRM, walled garden on health data, lack of apps) but pricing probably isn't one of them considering the tech you are getting. Apple watch less capable and more expensive.

Compared to the galaxy active 1 I guess?

      • +1

I'm not an apple fan mate. Compared to smartphones it's not that cheap and has much less features.

        • +1

That and Apple isn't a fair comparison given their prices on some things….

These are definitely $200 or so too expensive.

  • Probably overall the best value.

Retail gives you the $250 Galaxy Buds, whilst the Employee discount gives you 35% off without Galaxy Buds.

This looks like 20% with the Galaxy Buds.

I bought the 44mm BT at full retail this morning then saw it come through the Employee discount at 35% off and cringed. But at least I can sell the Galaxy Buds and come off largely the same (or only a little worse off).

Get the retail version with the buds then make a price protection claim to price match the EPP price. Get free buds at EPP prices. I have done it before. As long as you can provide proof that you have access to the EPP pricing.

      • 28 degree does not provide price protection for new register :(

        • oh is it grandfathered now? Did not know that.

Sounded way too good to be sustainable. Makes sense.

  • Hmm I wonder if you could buy a pair.. And get two sets of earphones and use the $150 unidays discount also..

    • Yes, since you got 2 Participating Product Purchased, just submit 2 claims. However you could only claim 5 max per person.
Can I claim more than one Gift?
Multiple entries are permitted, subject to the following:
 only one (1) Eligible Claim is permitted per Participating Product Purchased;  only five (5) Eligible Claims are permitted per Eligible Entrant; and  each Eligible Claim must be submitted separately and in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.

    • hey, did u end up trying this?

  • Thanks OP, ordered one.

  • Any decent discounts on the phones? My brother is a teacher.

  • OP, i think it is posted in another bargain that EPP stores do not qualify.
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/488193

    • The Education Store is eligible; EPP and Staff Portal isn't eligible for the Bonus Samsung Galaxy Buds.

  • crazy that they are the same price as the Watch range…I'd get a Watch over the Active series at this price point

    • I guess with deal, if you get active, you get the galaxy buds for free.

  • Why is the 44mm cheaper than the 40mm? Historically the smaller one has always been cheaper.

    • The 44mm Bluetooth is cheaper than the 40mm LTE, which in turn is cheaper than the 44mm LTE.

There is no 40mm Bluetooth version for Australia (bizarrely).

      • That explains that.

  • I wonder if you can still claim bonus buds if you get the watch from The Good Guys commercial? (For those who have access)

    • Did you find out if you could?

  • Anyone found a good place to buy tempered glass for the Active 2?

  • Anyone else having issues redeeming their watch when it comes to inserting address?

    • I am. It says 'Failed to communicate with address validation service' so maybe it's a problem on their end? hopefully they fix it soon…

edit: actually nevermind. I tried using a different browser (Edge) and it worked.

      • +1

Bizzare - not working on samsung edge for me either (same error). I'll try using a different computer tonight.

        • Doesn't work for me too

        • Sorry I meant internet explorer lol, forgot they rebranded their browser.

  • Thanks OP - missus will be very happy :)

  • this seems to be a better offer than the 35% EPP store offer

    • Yes, but unfortunately many people like me don't have .edu.au email ids to sign up for education portal. Or am I missing something here?

      • you are right, need edu.au email address

  • Does anyone know if JB HIFI price match education store price?
