    shipping cost??

    • Normal shipping applies, check the freight tab inside the product details.

      • Do I have to place order on your website or can I just walk-in store to buy one?

    • +7

Freight is $14 to Sydney address, which is a large percentage of the order total.

      • Meh, I guess you've either gotta go pick it up or order a few with friends and save on postage. Bummer there's an order limit of one though, that kinda kills it.

looks like a 3.5" drive so my guess is no

      • sucks that it never gets stated in the title what size *(2.5 or 3.5) HDD it is…

        • Barracuda are Seagates 3.5" drive. And clicking on the link to Scorptec's site shows what size the drive is.

Nup, you need a 2.5" (laptop) Sata drive. This is a 3.5" (desktop) drive

      • +1

        and a 9.5mm 2.5" drive at that

  • Nice, been looking for a new, small capacity drive for the HTPC!! =D

  • -1

    too small

  • Not really a bargain if you're interstate and have an MSY handy - Scorptech $29 + $15 freight = $44. MSY = $37.

  • Really wish Scorptec would address their excessive shipping costs.
While I appreciate how they regularly have great specials and go out of their way on OCAU, their shipping fees offset any savings (either through deals like this or group buys on OCAU).

$17 to ship one hard drive is way over the top, considering that an Auspost 3kg satchel is $10 (when purchased in packs of ten) or $12.50 for 3kg express. And these should be considered "worst case", as businesses should be able to negotiate a much better rate than this (either with Aus Post or another courier company).
