  Yes, this is the linear inverter compressor model.
  
  They are quiet. I do not notice it while watching TV from the sofa 8 metres away.
  
  The greatest thing about this fridge is how power efficient it is. I think it achieves this efficiency by making the walls relatively thick. The corresponding downside is that the freezer is a little on the small side.
  
  I recommend this fridge.
