          To be fair, it was available for a good while, 13:15 AEST when I last looked. Much more accessible than the EBay flash sale a while back, probably because less well known (only people who signed up Kogan emails). Then it came up on OB radar and gone soon after ;-)

        I think it’s mostly done when they find they are over stocked on a product and want a quick clear out to reduce inventory to more acceptable levels. So got 200moer AirPods than it wants, clear out flash sale time.

      Seems to be paywalled, this isn't (and is credited to the original)…I understand paywalls and the why but on single use, NO - like the pot calling the kettle black here LOL (added on edit - headline deceptive as well, there is no "trick")

        Hmmm… it’s not paywalled for me. It just asks me to watch an ad first. Could be a selective thing on different browsers.

        Back on the topic of the article… there is a “trick” of sorts - don’t let them talk you into a full “replacement” when the batteries invariably die after 18-36 months, ask for a “battery service” instead and you’ll get a lower price.

        I’m sure Apple will be rolling out new policies in response to this article, but for now, you need to make sure you’re not paying extra for the same replacement.
