  • Cheers OP. Grabbed a mouse pad.

  • Whats the difference between the ML240P and this, just the fan and the price?

    https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Cooling/CPU-Coolers-WATE…

    • ML240P has TR4 - Threadripper Support, and RGB and a Longer Pump Life, 70,000 hours on the Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240L VS 160,000 Hours on the ML240P

I cannot say anything about the cooling performance on either though i assume the newer one ML240P may be better since it can cool a threadripper.

  • Thanks, I needed a 650w PSU and an SSD to finish my new build so this came at the right time. I was going to get a Super Flower from PCCG but this worked out $40 cheaper and it has a 10yr warranty so let's give it a chance. Apparently Seasonic make the parts.

    Great deal for the mouse!

  • Don't know much about power supplies but I'm looking to replace the generic one that came with my TechFast system. Is the Cooler Master V Gold Series 650W 80+ a good option and if so is $119 a good price for it?

    • +1

They are very good and well priced.
Depending on the rest of your system, they might be a bit overkill, though.
If you have a fairly mainstream build, then the Bronze ones would be fine and save you $50.

        Thanks for your response.

I have the ryzen 5 2600 + a gtx 1660 ti which I believe to be quite low powered so as you said, the Bronze one would probably suffice. However, it's not modular and only has 3 years warranty (vs 10 years for the gold version) so I think that's probably worth the $50 extra.

        • +1

          Agreed, worth the extra $50.

I'd recommend the 750w for $8 more, 10 years is along time who knows if you will want to upgrade to a higher end CPU/GPU during that time.

I personally went with an EVGA 750w with 10 year warranty 3 years ago when i ran a i5 6400/R9 390 now im running a RTX 2080 Super/9600k and planning to get a 9900k with zero plans or need to upgrade the PSU.

          • @Axelstrife: Man, if I'd have seen the v750 for that price I'd have bought it.

Edit/ cancelled and reordered. Thanks, I'm pretty sure they've added that since I last looked.

            • @[Deactivated]: I also decided to go with the v750 in the end.

Can't wait to not have to see the red and yellow coloured cable mess in my system anymore haha.
