Beachworth is my favorite beer. thanks OP

To anyone that hasn't tried it, its very fruity, highly recommended!!

    • thanks! adding to my shopping list

    • IPA or Pale Ale?

      • +2

Pale Ale. The IPA is only a 3.5% mid strangely enough

This is their session IPA, Little Bling. Bling IPA is 5.8%.

          • @Schmiddler: I like Bling Bling, but I tried the double IPA last year and it was awful, as well as being extremely expensive. Dissapoint.

            • @Meconium: Bling Bling is the double IPA, right? I haven't had it, but the regular Bling is ok. All of the Bridge Road IPAs are a bit malty and earthy for my tastes, basically a hopped up version of a traditional English IPA.

              • @Schmiddler: Yeah, you're right, Bling is quite good but avoid Bling Bling. Bling is good if you like hop-forward beers that are fresh and unsubtle!

                • @Meconium: I'll steer clear, thanks. I love a hoppy beer, but there's something about the hop profile of Bling that doesn't do it for me. Feels more Old World/English style whereas I guess I tend to gravitate to the American/New World style IPAs.

@Schmiddler: Fair enough. Capital Brewery in Canberra have a Californian brewer who is great at those fresh, piney, bitter brews. Rockhopper is my go-to IPA but Big Drop IIPA is excellent for a stronger one - it tastes like a reasonably sweet but bitter New World IIPA without falling into that treacly Belgian Strong/Scottish Strong Ale toffee-like sweetness.

I usually get growlers straight from the brewery but they canned Big Drop for a public release a couple of months ago. Black can, 8.8% iirc, worth a try if you like the West Coast style as I do.

                    • @Meconium: I've seen the Big Drop floating around, will grab one from my local if they still have them.

    • Great! will give it ago.

    • thanks from me too! going to give it a try :)

Why does the 60c in bottle deposits in NSW always result in a dollar more in six pack prices?

    • Because it actually costs manufacturers 15c a bottle. Yes, the whole recycling scheme is a joke. Everyone would put their bottles in the yellow bin anyway.

      • That's just not true, many people now recycle their bottles as there is an incentive to do so. Even though it does not always benefit the consumer financially, more bottles now end up in recycling than on the ground.

        • You’re telling me people would put bottles into the red bin over the yellow?

          • +2

@Emerald Owl: it's more about people not putting their bottles in any bin at all. I know a retired couple that go around collecting bottles around parks and the streets for a bit of extra pocket money. That's hundreds of bottles a month that were otherwise strewn around that are now in the recycling system just from them alone. If there was no price on them they'd still be out there.

Another thing is that our recycling is very contaminated because we're not separating items properly. One of the reasons china is now rejecting our recycling waste. At least in this case plastic bottles cans and glass are separated correctly and have a better chance of being recycled.

  • Things to note: the Hefeweizen is NSW only, and the Bridge Road IPA is a midstrength.

    Otherwise, great deal!

Coopers red tins on sale? Count me in!

  • Any idea how long this deal will last for? Still have some leftover from a previous deal that I want to finish off first

Sick of this boutique crap, Fosters Lager all day everyday please

    • This is just crap, not even boutique.

      • Are you really saying that Beechworth Pale Ale is crap? What do you consider a good beer?

        • Yes, pretty average and boring pale IMO. I bought a six pack once, could hardly finish a bottle. A good aussie beer that you can easily get is Modus Former Tenant, Slipstream 2IPA, Mornington IPA, Feral Imperial Juice, Deep Creek Hazy IPA (NZ) and etc, I can go on and on…

No one is stopping you from enjoying your garbage mate. Don't project your anger because you have a terrible palette and other people don't.

Beechworth pale ale is fantastic. One of my favorite.

  • The stout's not bad. Not as nice as Cooper's though in my opinion.

    • +1

The stout's great. Much nicer than Cooper's in my opinion.

      • Actually now that I've finished it, I would say it is better!

  • Sad that the Coopers Best Extra Stout not on sale.

  • creatures IPA is a must try if you haven't its a serious beer.

  • +1

I had high hopes for Coopers XPA. Bummer that it tastes like some form of detergent..

  • Does anyone know when is this offer ending? Is it like every calendar month?

  • The beechworth pale ale are always low on supply at my local dans. Can only pick up 1 six pack a day.
