  • FML just filled up with price lock yesterday…

    • -1

You can fill up $2 worth and lock this in if you're quick!

      • Well I could do a lock for a tank's worth but you can only lock for a week! I maybe only use one tank a month…

        • +2

Just take some really long drives to run the tank down, then fill up with this bargain.

  • +4

Literally just going past here. Thanks OP.

    • Happy to help!

  • +6

Flying my jet there. Cheerios :)

    • +2

same here, wish 7-11 sold jet fuel as well !

      • You could always fill up your jet with U98?

Just need space to park your jet while your refuel :p

  • +11

Thanks Op - just drove past from Brisbane

  • Awesome, just in time thanks!

  • Gonna detour there from work, hope the bosses won't mind.

  • Driving my truck there, thx OP!

  • How long does the lock last for. I might go past fairfield about twice a year haha.

    • +1

      Only a week :(

    • Time to make it twice a day :p

  • 7/11 in Glen waverley just put their price up to 1.71!!!

7-11 app in Nox wants to update….
Is there any link for an .apk file ?

    • +1

      Playstore.

      • Says that version is not compatible !

        • You might need to update your Android Version to 7, just google how to update to the latest version on Nox, you'll figure it out

  • +17

Perfect. Just took the girlfriend for a picnic to Fairfield by chance and happened to lock in this great price. Such a romantic day.

    • Did you use the Eatclub voucher?

      • No, she's a jehova's witness

    • +1

YMMV, I've never had any issues with U98 from 7.11.

    • +4

Been using Mobil 98 in my VW for several years now, no problems - even with a Stage 1 tune.

      • I currently have a 2016 GTI 40 years, the boys at Eurohaus and Volksmuller all say BP and Shell is the way to go with 98 octane, but yes YMMV especially considering fuel in Australia isn't equal in all servos

      • +7

Wait till you get to stage 99 and fight the final boss

    • Any petrol station can get water in the tanks or have stale petrol. Find a different 7/11.

      • -4

If you research seems to always be 7/11.

    • +1

There should be a button called "I am associated with a competitor of 7-Eleven"

That is a load of crap. 7-Eleven fuels are from Exxonmobil. If you have problems with their fuel then it's that particular survo's problem (storage related), not the actual fuel.

I have an MY15 Octavia RS that required 98RON and I've been to several 7-Eleven servo's in Melb with no issues.

      • -5

What on earth are you talking about? Just because someone has a bad experience with 7 eleven fuel doesn't mean they're associated with another fuel provider. Not a load of crap buddy the car doesn't lie, maybe the particular servo was the problem, but that speaks more for ExxonMobil fuel quality control in general then, if you really do research and ask mechanics they'll tell you the same thing

        • I had a bad experience with Shell. Does that mean Shell fuel has Quality Control issues? Better not use it then!

          • -1

@nafe: The fuel costs less for a reason champ

            • +1

@yaozy: I paid more for Shell and it ended up costing me a $1000+ bill from the mechanics….so much for higher quality. Injectors needed removing and cleaning, fuel tank dropped and drained, fuel lines cleared, fuel pump cleaned…..luckily Shell came to the party and paid my bill. So tell me, does my one experience mean that everyone should avoid it like your one experience with 7/11 means you now slag them off?

It costs less because it doesn't have a lame 4c off promo to support for starters…..

              • @nafe: Great to hear you got it sorted, should probably start filling up at BP then

              • @nafe: Also it might have been your previous visits to 7/11 that damaged your fuel lines buddy, never know …

                • +1

@yaozy: Different car, was using Shell all the time back when they were competitive on price. But keep clutching at those straws.

    • What issues? Are these issues worth ~50c/L?

      • -5

Uhhh yes, if the overall quality control of fuel is worse, which would explain why they are always considerably cheaper , this could lead to many problems relating to a cars engine over time. So yes definitely worth 50c a litre mate

        • You do realise that the usual price difference is more like 6-8c/L for their 98…..not 50c.

          • @nafe: Anyone remember when U98 was 99.0/litre? :p

          • @nafe: Was quoting cooni's figure. All I know is cheaper fuel is cheaper fuel. No getting around it, lot of these 7/11 servos diluting their tanks

          • @nafe: I mean the price difference of a location spoofed 98 price that’s actually a 91 price vs paying full 98 price wherever you are locally.

    • +1

I use this in my stage 2 tuned M2. Runs perfectly fine. I alternate tanks of BP Ultimate to be safe.

  • Luckily I was driving past when I saw this post! :)

  • +1

I've figured it out, as soon as I get petrol, the next day it goes insanely cheap. I'll give everyone a heads up next time.

Might have to take a long road trip so I can take advantage of this offer, full tank of petrol lasts me 3 weeks on average because I don't drive much.

I'll just shut up now and say, finally a good 98 price!

  • Thanks OP

  • -6

    Getting Foxtrot error now.
Login details are correct thought ! Have verified them

Edit: If anyone here doesn't need a voucher, could you send me one for U98 for 60L please ?

Edit 2: What is your issue people ? If you neg, tell me the reason.

    • Your next error will be Error Uniform, right? :p

  • +2

    Get to the choppa!

  • +4

Damn, thought this was Fairfield, NSW…

    • I thought it was Fairfield, QLD…

  • How does the 98-octane at 7-11 compare with BP's Ultimate-98?

    • In general worse quality . Ready for all the downvotes

      • It's true, but not worth the price difference

    • This 7/11 is about 40c cheaper today

  • mines only showing 151.5 in Dandenong. does it mean its expired?
    All good now.

  • +1

Just took my flying carpet over there and locked this in, thanks OP!

  • I hate to be that guy, but that's Alphington, not Fairfield.

    • +2

It's Fairfield in the 7 Eleven app.

      • No it's not. If you type in Fairfield in 7/11 it only shows NSW Fairfield not VIC. The actual suburb is called Alphington

        • The name of the station is Fairfield in the app with address Cnr Yarralea Street & Heidelberg Rd., Fairfield set as the address. The actual address in reality is in Alphington.

Searching Fairfield brings up Fairfield, NSW but searching Fairfield, VIC brings up Fairfield, VIC. The whole thing is a bit strange but 7 Eleven (Tigerspike) should change the address to Alphington.

          • @neil: Ah yes you are correct. You need to type in addition to Fairfield "VIC". Typing simply Fairfield only brings NSW as option.

            My correction

      • Well there ya go.

  • Thanks OP. Did a scan from work in Kew East and luckily it picked up the station. Locked in a full tank.

Edit: as the above comment, it is Alphington, not Fairfield.

  • MANY THANKS!!!!!

  • -3

Sorry to ask, but do we have forum link which shows how to lock the fuel prices on App, i live in NSW.
    TIA

    • +3

      Easily found in the forums…..

    • +4

Ill PM you. Save discussing it in the deal thread

      • Thanks Heaps :)

      • Can you please send me the details too.

        • Done.

      • Mind sending the thread as well pls? Tnx

        • Done.

      • Me too please. Cheers.

        • Done.

    • Could you send thru also? Thx

      • Done.

  • I just did this for the first time.

Just to confirm, you have to prepay for fuel to get the voucher right?

I just topped up $40 of fuel after adding my credit card to the app. Is there an option to get the voucher and pay at the station?

    • +1

Just have them scan the voucher from the app, then pay by card or cash

      • Thanks for the reply.

I'll use my voucher and try again. One more question, I can use this at any 7/11 right?

        • +1

Yes, show they the code when you pay

  • Locked thank you

  • Save my kidney for fuel.
