Probably worth mentioning that these are wooden sticks which don't have the horrible environmental impact of the plastic sticks.
Scotland banned them recently because they'd find their way into the environment
I re-carpeted my bedroom and found all these sticks which had worked their way underneath from the previous occupant 10+ years ago. Not only disgusting, but kind of rammed home the point that these things are pretty terrible for the environment…
