  • Hmm I owned the ASUS G73SW TZ016V

    It had more hard drive space (1.5tb) and didnt cost much more.

    The battery life on these 17" machines is terrible and unlike say a Dell there is no extended life battery option.

    Also be aware the G74 models have been released in the US and they have a 160gb SSD as the primary boot drive + a 750gb hybrid secondary drive - I am guessing this is the reason behind the drop in G73 prices…

    Nevertheless a nice laptop…

    I picked up my G51JW from the states for $980 AUD - back when the exchange rate was .97!!

    stuff 'ere is expensive!

  • ithink the G53 was just released too late, making it harder to sell over here with higher prices from smaller shipments; does that sound right?
