Was browsing PS Store and came across this price drop. I think it's the lowest price on record, although it was briefly this price sometime last month as well on the PS Store. I enjoyed this game but the first one was much better in terms of story and characters in my opinion. It's still a fun game to play though.

You explore areas, unlock stuff, level up, upgrade, build a kingdom slowly etc. like an RPG but it's Japanese so I guess JRPG? I would say similar games include the Dragon Quest series and YS VIII.

Dlc worth getting?
Nah, was quite disappointing to be honest. It was mainly grinding for rare items and provided very little story. I'd stick to the base game which the DLC pales by comparison.

And just like OP, I actually enjoyed the 1st one more. Don't get me wrong, this one isn't bad at all. It's just that the first one is more memorable and I genuinely couldn't stop playing it.
Yeah, first one was done in partnership with Studio Ghibli so the story was great. They didn't get on board with the second one so the story suffers a bit.
Still a fun game, especially for this price.
