All models are Series III, which means AirPlay has been replaced by Bluetooth.
Also Amazon Alexa pairing compatible.

“ Enjoy hands-free voice access to your music on SoundTouch speakers using any Alexa-enabled device—like the Amazon Echo Dot. Just open the Alexa app. Search for “Bose” under the Skills menu. Then follow the simple one-time setup.
So, what can you do? Plenty. Start your funk playlist in the kitchen. Turn the volume up or down. Change tracks. Find out what’s playing. And even control where it’s playing—from the speaker in your kitchen to the speaker in your bedroom. ”

Notes: We own the SoundTouch 20 Series 2.
The speaker has been very reliable & receives updates to this day.
Sound is typical Bose, DSP boosted bass & decent sound overall, we use it at the lowest bass setting for BGM (Background Music), but it is capable of getting quite loud.

I would say the SoundTouch 30 with its 2 front-firing drivers & single built-in subwoofer is more suited for parties or social settings at higher volume-levels.
And the SoundTouch 10 would be ideal as a bed-side speaker, I think it really is meant to be used in ‘pairs’.

Another way for the American to spy on your conversation at home.

    • Without a microphone? It has AUX in that's it as far as I know. Please provide more info? Cheers

  • I’ve had a SoundTouch10 for around three years for the bedroom and the small thing is damned loud. It’s awesome. I think I paid $220 or so originally, so I’ll be considering getting another to add to ours and have “surround” sound. When we upgrade our bedroom TV I’m hoping the two will connect via Bluetooth instead of the aux cable I have to use for that.

A comment from a previous deal stated that there is noticeable latency when using two SoundTouch 10’s wirelessly with a TV.
They shared a wired solution to overcome this latency issue and have the video & audio in sync.

      • Cheers! Totally reconsidering my setup now, as TV requirements have changed, too eyeroll
