I've always wondered that the value of these are over a stick blender. Anyone compared both before?

    • Find it makes much better frappes than stick blender

    • It depends on the stick mixer. If the mixer has a covered blade then it would possibly aerate a bit less than the uncovered blades of the milkshake machine.

My mum's old stick mixer has changeable blade sheaths, which makes it possible to run with a bare blade. I reckon there would be no difference in this case, except for benchtop nostalgia.

my stick mixer has a froth setting which makes milkshakes/smoothies well.. i agree with above that the only reason you would get this is so it looks nice on the benchtop (bit stupid IMO)

This would also be better than a stick blender for people with arthritis or some disabilities.

@mapax: Exactly! After major surgery when not allowed to lift anything, impaired by injury to hand, wrist, on medication making you shaky etc.
Have younger kids wanting to make shake etc.
            Lots of reasons here!

Got one via Amazon (44.95)because not eBay plus member. With better cashback rates for Amazon it works out better for me. Plus 2 day delivery and fast refund if there is a problem.
Thanks OP for posting! Good deal!

Sweet! I'm pregnant and craving chocolate milkshakes … and my stick blender doesn't do a great job and it's a pain to clean the regular blender.

I've sent it to the man of the house who has eBay plus. Crossing fingers he gets the message and buys me one. He's usually the milkshake fiend so it's a win/win situation.

    Thanks OP!

  • Fresh ice cream works best, something like Bulla creamy classic is soft and blends easily.

  • what syrup do you guys use for chocolate milkshakes? thanks

  • Jeeez estimated delivery to Sydney 31 Oct?!

    • Sounds pretty normal
