  • Wonder is the viewing angle is okay?

    • +1

Its IPS panel, so it should be good and better than VA panels

      • +1

Actually no… va is better for tv

        • I meant better viewing angle. That’s what the OP is asking

    • +1

I have the previous year's TH-75FX800A - the VA panel viewing angle is not great, the colours wash out very soon once you move away from centre. Not much a problem if your viewing distance is several metres, but if you're seated side on a few metres away you will notice it.

      • Companies will have their own tech to combat viewing angle issues. Va is better because better blacks can be achieved. All the top LCD panels are va. Panasonic is not one of them.

        • Sorry if you are sitting on an angle then any VA advantage is a moot point. I regretted my Sony VA panel which I had slightly elevated vs where I sat and it had terrible washout. Lucky it was faulty and I ended up switching it for an OLED. Sorted.

          • @dlcx: Yes I have 2 oleds and an old plasma.. much better than lcd

    Also available on Back-Order @ The Good Guys for $2545 C&C using "TV15" if that's a better option :)

    • Nice one. I really should wait for an 82"/85"…..

    • Plus delivery to your location where applicable.

  • I would never buy from Appliances Online again.

I would prefer to buy it from Good Guys who has it for $2545 with TV15.

    • Appliances Online, I only have great experiences with them.

      • They are often more expensive than local retail shops.

As pointed out before, Good Guys are cheaper than AO for this exact TV.

They also often sell really old stock so make sure you research what you want and dont assume it's the latest.

  • in-store anyway (so bright lighting), the 65GX850 was easily my favourite of the 2019 IPS TVs. never seen the 75gx880 though

I have the 2018 model, just FYI, the base of these things are massive, such a poor design, but the quality of the picture got me over the line at a good price, mates that have equivalent Samsung/Sony's are impressed when they come over.

    • They're also incredibly heavy (both the TV and the base) compared to the competition:
      Weight (With stand) 62.5 kg
      Weight (Without stand) 54.0 kg
