Sensibo Sky $119.20 + Delivery (Free C&C) @ Bing Lee eBay

200
PBLEE20

As per the title, the Sensibo Sky with coupon is $119.20 C&C at Bing Lee, and potentially cheaper if you have eBay vouchers from previous deals. The best price I've seen as far as I can recall and it's usually around the $125-$130 mark even on sale (vs RRP of $159).

I personally have one and have found it to be great at helping control temperature in the nursery room without us having to walk in and use the air conditioning remote. The support team are pretty good at responding to questions/feedback but the only issue I've had is it doesn't sync well with the existing remote despite the marketing material. This isn't much of an issue especially if you predominantly or exclusively use the app/voice assistants but some may be bothered by this.

  • Is this a fancy version on the Broadlink RM mini?link

    • +2

without doing too much digging, i think the sensibo has a temp gauge so it'll regulate temperature. The other RMs are more like universal remotes that can control the AC/TV etc but not on a temp basis (if you get what I mean).

My Broadlink RM Pro has a temp gauge it also has a healthy sleep feature so you can set the exact temperate for different times of the day and night. Plus it does my TV, Foxtel, Stereo, VCR and Fan via the app and Alexa voice control. It was only $50.

      • Thanks for the tip mate I'm going to grab one. For 30 bucks worth a shot.

    • I stopped using my RM Mini because of the ridiculous permissions it required. I use a Sensibo that was provided by Powercor for AC load shedding on hot days and it works well.

      • How does this work? with solar?

        • Micro USB port

Love my sensibo, Works great with google home so I never use the air conditioning controller anymore and I can pre-cool when I'm heading home on hot days

    • How does this work? Does it need line of sight?

      • It works with any air cons that has a 'remote control'. It doesn't work with ducted air cons because these have panels to control the air con and not a remote control like a split system has.

      • +2

No it connects to the internet, so you can control the aircon from anywhere in the world. Same as the Broadlink which is much cheaper then the Sensibo.

  • Do these require an internet connection?
Also are there any paid subscription/upgrades?

    • Air con control needs the internet so yes. I’m not aware of any subscriptions but wouldn’t be surprised if these came up one day in the future.

  • How many aircon can one Sensibo control in the same house?

    • +1

One per air con. Think of it as a replacement remote. Sure you could potentially use it on multiple and if you position it in just the right spot you might be able to control multiple, but that’s not the intention.

I have one in the living room it's great. Hooks in with google home and samsung smart things really well. Tempted to get another for the bedroom.
