  • Anyone ever had a R7 series and there local dimming?

  • This or the TCL 85 inch?

    • +1

got for the hisense mate this tv is better then samsung series 7

      • +1

What features put it ahead of the Samsung Series 7? Genuinely interested.

        • I'm interested to know as well.

I missed out on TGG deals so might bite the bullet on this one. Hopefully no issues with R7 on such a big screen

  • Jeez, do they actually ship anywhere? Can't even get it delivered to the ACT.

    • +1

Yeah I'm feeling annoyed seeing these deals posted - seems they only deliver where they can carry the phone to

  • You must need a pretty wide TV entertainment unit if you are going to put this on its stand.

I have the Hisense 75" from 2017 and it only just fits on one of the biggest entertainment units I could find.

I had a similar problem with a 65inch tv, fortunately they have a VESA mount stand with a more narrow rectangle base if anyone needs one they are on ebay

    • I suspect most have forfeit aesthetics and just have the screen wider than the entertainment unit base.

      • Yeah but the legs are almost at the far ends of the screen. So you need a minimum of about 180cm of space - might be more.

        • Yikes! I'll have to go check this out.

        • It can be wall mounted right?

  • Anyone know if the stand width is adjustable?

    • So just checked my tv stand and the width fits. However my tv stand is only 400mm deep and the stand is 428mm.

      Do I risk it?

      • No, this thing is heavy.

  • Hmmm… was about to buy the 85" X95G for $5095 delivered (Sony price matched the 15% discount so I have it sitting in my shopping cart online).

I just bit the bullet and got this instead, figured I could almost buy 2 for the same price. Given Android TV isn't amazing, and I have a Telstra TV2 that'll hook into this anyway, my hisense in the bedroom is pretty quick for smart TV as well so might not even need the Telstra TV.

Lets see how this goes (was going to hold off until the new house but I'm doubtfull it'll be this cheap again in the next 3-6 months… never know I guess??

  • Need help choosing between
    85R7 for $2716
    75R8 for $2330
LG 75 SM8600 for $2560 (friends work discount)

Size matters. First thing people task about, not features or brand, but size, then price, then resolution, then other stuff

      • Who cares what "people" ask about. R8 is quantum dot, R7 is not. Go compare in store. If you dont feel the improvement is worth the $ to you that'll go a long wayvto your decision.

        • Because I spend more time with people than with my TV…

          • @[Deactivated]: Great reasoning to buy a potentially inferior or less fit for purpose TV. Haha, classic.

            • @Xizor: Well also what first impressed people. Not the colour or brightness or black.

Also it is what they talk about not ask, my typo

              • @[Deactivated]: Yep with Bimo

I would prefer the 85" over any 75"

Once you go big, you dont go back

                • @aussietivoman: Size matters to Aussie woman, cough, I mean aussietivoman

  • No delivery to my area, otherwise I'd buy this.

No stock for click and collect within 200km either…
