        To my best knowledge, it uses the earphone 3.5mm jack to connect to the phone in order to control the shutter button.
        Some modern phones have dumped this 3.5mm jack. So you basically just check your phone for the jack for compatibility.

        It's connects phone to the button where you hold stick to tell camera to take photo or start/stop video.

        As opposed to Bluetooth connection to the phone

      I wonder how it works because some computer peripherals eg. CST L-trac or the Xbox Adaptive Controller controller thing use 3.5mm jack that you plug a switch into.
