PSLEIGH

Cheapest price I could find for these batteries and the highest-for-the-cheapest mAh I could find other than Ultrafire which are apparently not what they claim on the tin.

Note that you must choose "1 pack" and enter a quantity of 4 or more to get to $11.60 each.

not bad need some more for my vape.

    • Nice store, the Samsung 30Q's are the cheapest I have seen too (2 or more anyway)
I might recondition my drill battery after all…

This is where I buy mine, no complaints…

They also have an ebay store I've used a couple of times,
      https://www.ebay.com.au/usr/techaroundyou
For some reason their stock isn't coming up in searches at the moment even though their listings still seem to be active:
      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2X-Vapcell-18350-3-7V-9A-1100mah…

    • Confirmed best store for ordering batteries. Cheapest, great customer service and fast shipping from Melbourne.

other than Ultrafire which are apparently not what they claim on the tin.

You know why they call them UltraFire? Because they're ultra likely to blow up and start a fire. They're the cheapest POS cells on the market and even charging them has a decent chance of blowing a cell up in your face and spitting lithium all over the room.

    • whats this? when I bought my 18650 batteries for torches years ago, i read ultrafire being a good bang for buck brand, just there are a lot of fakes out there.

      • +1

A decade ago ultrafires were more readily available than Sony, Samsung, LG, and such, so they were popular…

These days with the low cost and decent local suppliers of good quality name brand batteries it would be silly to buy the cheap chinese crap…

      • +5

Can't comment on years ago sorry but these days UltraFire is synonymous with cheap and dangerous. The company has done a terrible job trying to stop fakes and unfortunately they've flooded the market and dragged the name through the dirt. These days it's basically impossible to get originals unless you really go looking and find them on the official UltraFire site.

Most people don't even realise UltraFire is a real brand and just assume it's the generic name given to cheap cells. Unfortunately the fakes advertise with impossibly high mAh ratings too which causes people new to the battery game to think they're the best battery you can get.

        • Yes. Stay away from ultrafire. They also have inflated capacity as high as 6800mAh. As far as I know the maximum reliable capacity for a 18650 is 3500mAh.

          • @[Deactivated]: Not even maximum reliable, maximum physical restriction. Unless these batteries have somehow found a way to defy the laws of physics then anything above ~3500mAh is literally impossible.

These are flat tops. Make sure your device accept these before you order.

    • They're not totally flat like some 18650's, they're like a wide low button..

Also: Tech Around You do a protected button top version for $9.50 each (for 2 or more)
      https://www.techaroundyou.com/index.php?route=product/produc…
(I assume they're a little longer than standard? which may be an issue in some devices)

      • I have 4 Panasonic 18650s, 2 of them are protected nipple tops. They measure 6.6mm in length, just 1mm longer than the flat tops

  • ive scabbed that many from laptops don't think i ever need to buy them…

    yeah good price anyway

  • These are the same as the batteries in my gimbal but I've read that not all 18650s are suitable because of ampage?

I might have butchered that last fact but does anyone know if these are good for gimbal back up batteries?
