Could this be a nice enclosure for house-bound Cats or smaller Puppies…?

    Pet Rabbits?

Not gonna lie, it crossed my mind to buy this for my rats haha.

    • +12

I would also recommend this product even for young children. Much cheaper soloution to most kids cubby houses!

    • +1

I know it's OOS now but my first thought was "My rabbits would love this!".

  • +21

Thanks OP. Did i need this? No…. Did i buy it as it was a good bargain…. I'll tell you after i discuss this with the wife on what i'm unpacking from the car.

    • +3

If you get a chicken, and furthermore if you have kids/garden, the investment will pay itself off in no time

      • +5

Oh… i thought this was a timeout space for the kids…. hmmm…. lol

        • I consider myself normal, thank you very much 😂👌

    • +1

Dear, what are you unpacking from the car?

      • +16

i've got an acre in a rural area with 2 kids. im sure it will get some use.

      • +6

I don't understand this mindset. You bought something specific that you didn't need, only because it's a bargain - and potentially prevented someone else who actually would have a use for it from buying it. That kind of attitude sounds more like you have a problem with spending than anything.

            lurking for a while?

Ozb works best when people contribute

            • +1

@4agte: I still don't see how this is related to my original post? Aside from trying to have a good at me personally.

              • -2

@richadam: Because you look silly when you don't contribute and then upset other people's purchasing decisions.

Joining is great. Now you can contribute when you spot something. Registering to complain isn't quite as valuable.

Impulse purchases are common on OzBargain… but at least he didn't buy it with the intention to try and resell it at a markup to those who missed out on the deal.

      • +1

I have chickens who would have liked it. Ah well.

Edit I don't think it's very good quality anyway. Need something fox proof.

        • That's called a dog :)

      • +3

A lot of people here have a spending problem unfortunately! Totally agree though, don't just buy something because it's a great price. Let other people who actually need it get the opportunity to buy it.

These type of people are 2nd worst to those who buy half of the stock in one go.

      • +3

guess you are grumpy cause you missed the 1 dollar epilator.

      • Who let this guy in?

    • +2

Would you have bought this if it was $80 RRP every day of the year?

  • +2

    Thanks. Bought one.

Thought with only 2 available in NSW, I'm wondering if they had already been bought and the system hadn't updated. Though it now says out of stock, so maybe it's updated real time.

    We'll see…

We have something very similar for guinea pigs.

This is significantly nicer than my house. Lucky chickens for those that got one!

  • +12

Great for when inlaws come to stay.

  • Silly question. Can this be somehow used for medium parrots like eclectus?

    • +1

Short answer no ! The material might not safe for parrots e.g colour also parrot specially Eclectus can destroy it in one day

      • +1

as someone who has owned chickens, these coops aren't even suitable for them.

a parrot with a beak like an eclectus (or any parrot) will destroy this very quick.

    Wait… Wrong thread?

    • Delete before you mom see that!

    • Did you grow up on a farm?

  • Page is now not available. They probably think they were getting ddos.

  • +2

Ordered early when OP posted. Got an email from them now telling me they have no stock and if I want to buy something else or refund.

Not sure why it was pickup only if they didn’t have the right inventory in store.

  • +2

I got 1! I called up Rowville and got my sister in law to collect the last one they had!!

Now to get it to Perth….

    • +2

Could ask them to deliver? Happy for you!

      • Thank you! I'm going to see the cost via e-go couriers. Hopefully it will be reasonably priced

        • The guinea pig feed price changed as I was checking out. Friend of mine runs a rescue so waiting to hear back from them why it changed.

    • You mean… to fly the coop.

  • +1

Not as cheap as this $80 deal, but a similar looking item is available for $175 from Somerzby https://www.somerzby.com.au/products/cottage-guinea-pig-hutc…

Not associated, just have bought a pretty reasonably priced cat enclosure from those guys and was very happy with the price/quality and shipping.

    • Same here, bought this from them in August and nothing but praise for both them and the cage

  • +3

Thanks.. this is an upgrade for the Doghouse that I stay in after too many unplanned OzB purchases
