3 Cases of Cricketers Pale Ale Bottles 330ml $98.85 @ Dan Murphy's

150

Was just browsing Dr Dans and came across this little gem of 3 cases for $98.85. It doesn’t appear as though you need to be a member. Slightly cheaper, 0.15c, than the recent popular deal of 3 for $99 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/493177. We all know in ozbargain land that is important!

Session ale cans and Larger is also available for the 3 for $98.85

Dan also has a good deal for James squire chancer at $46.90 for a case

  • Oh golly gosh dear…
Enough money in my secret account to not alert the girl, even though a goose got delivered today…

But I can't remember if this is a good beer or not.. I got it once recently alongside 2 other 6 packs from Dan's specials. I remember GOAT tasting like the (profanity) of the animal in guessing they brew it in; but the other 2 were fine, and amazing…

I remember now. This beer was fine, nothing special, and I think it was called White Rabbit? which I found to be amazing.

    Decision decisions

    • The pale ale has a nice bitter taste ….

  • Think the session is the pick of the lot if i’m correct?

    • +1

      Only 3.5% instead of 4.6%.
      375ml vs 330mls though.

  • Who owns cricketers arms? I see it everywhere, surely it's an AstroTurf fake craft bran? Smells like CUB perhaps?

    • +2

Started out as an independent got bought by Asahi.

  • +1

I can't speak to the taste, but lordy, what a ghastly label.

  • +1

It's gonna damage their brand at this price. Completely average in every way but not bad for a drinking session.

    • -1

The big boys can commodities making and distribution of beers ….brings prices down. Let the multinationals craft beer price war begin ….it's a very industrial process once they know the taste and market they want.

  • +1

Not a bad beer - we get them at my cricket club most years as our stock Pale Ale. Good deal.

  • It's a bit sneaky how this beer is packaged to look very similar to Cricketers Arms Spearhead Pale Ale (which is a top notch beer) but is noticeably inferior in taste and not just a watered down version.
