Killer of a CPU at a good price.

22k benchmark on Passmark. MB pricing makes it more expensive but better than the 2950x in terms of bang for buck.

  • Can see this one comes up within minutes but I'm after the Ryzen and the other post didn't show up until almost 2 hours later. Can you stick this into the B450 chipset?

  • i think gaming pro is one of the lower tear x470 boards, better combo would props be the last msy deal for x570. Same ish level but u r getting a x570 board for extra 50 dollars

You need an X399 motherboard for this CPU, X570 and X470 are AM4 and are not compatible with Threadripper.

      • lol i commented on the wrong thread. soz

Great price, this was $524 on the 3rd of November.

Might be worth waiting seeing as Amazon prices fluctuate

If you don't need the threadripper (HEDT) benefits, go for a 3900x. Same core count, faster, and ultimately about the same price thanks to mobo prices.

Good price, its a shame the motherboards are up there in price tho :(

    • It's not meant for everyday gamers, it's for people who will use the extra cores and threads and features of the platform.

      • I want one for a replacement unraid server, so more threads the better

        • I understand, just explaining why the prices are generally higher.
