    Bought this laptop at Christmas and I kind of wish I didn't.

    It is slow, overheats all the time…even after 10 minutes the battery heats up really really hot.

    I was in the market for a good laptop and this was reduced from $1700 at the time down to $999. I researched and saw the specs and thought "Brilliant".

    But I should have paid the little bit extra and bought the Toshiba Quasmio I think..

      I agree with you, I have the same machine and it overheats like crazy. The one thing I find that reduces the heat (by alot I might add) is to clean out the fans in particular the fan filter. - This requires dismantling the entire notebook (don't worry it's easy) but it's so worth it.

        I have it on one of those notebook fans. That seems to work.
