Amazon is US website , does not delivery to Aus , I was told

      • +2

With certain items they do, I got my asus transformer from there.

  • How much to ship to aus though? Dint you have to use a forwarding company?

    • Not if you buy direct from Amazon. Shipping is ~$15 from memory.

      • +1

I tried and amazon said it couldn't ship to my address. Tried work address, po box and home. Anything I missed?

        • It goes in and out of stock from Amazon. You must have been buying from another seller. Wait for Amazon to get stock again. Happens a few times a day.

        • you can subscribe to this to get notified when amazon it in stock. http://www.nowinstock.net/computers/tablets/asus/

    • I could be wrong but I think you need to do your search from the Amazon Global part of the site:
      http://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=230659011

  • not a bargain, considering US sells them starting at 399 USD (which is lower in AUD)

Asus global warranty rocks, they use courier to pick up and drop off to your place.

in this case, having Aussie stock makes NO DIFFERENCE.

    • Actually if you didnt buy it in Australia asus (online) isnt obliged and doesnt want to pick up your to-be-warranty-ed asus product. They will still repair it though.
Im in the process of getting my laptop fixed up cause the stoner technician forgot to plug my keyboard connectors back in -_-
Asus has told me they'll pick up my laptop (bought via priceusa) for free but i might have to pay the return courier charge.
Asus uses Aae (Australian Air Express), at least in Sydney

    Not a bargain…

  • As far as I'm aware the Transformer doesn't have a USB port. Give me an Iconia and standard USB keyboard any day.

    • It has 2 USB ports on the keyboard dock which is not included in this deal.

    • +2

It also has a dongle type thing available as an optional extra that gives you full USB host on the tablet itself.

But anyway, this is not a deal in any way shape or form. circa $400 landed from Amazon, even the 32GB version is around $500 landed - but OMG you don't get 2 movie tickets though.

  • No 3G version yet :(

    • Yes. Waiting for 3G man…

  • Saw in Bing Lee at the same price as well(A$499).

Not sure, if they would further negotiate.

Well wish me the best as I have placed an order via Amazon. The main reason is the US version has GPS while I believe the OZ version does not.

    • +1

      nope they are identical.

      (they both have GPS).

  • +1

will you post me the two movie tickets if i just pay the shipping

  • Over $100 cheaper elsewhere.
Example: Housecat and annoynimous - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/49551#comment-540657

  • amazing-according to SS two movie tickets are worth around $100! but keep in mind, if you're comparing local stock to overseas stock sometimes there are advantages to buying locally, support/warranty being 2 good reasons, but with the aussie $ hovering around the 1.08 US mark it sure is more attractive buying OS

    • Normally I'd agree with you but not in this case.
Asus offer international warranties and support isn't dependent on what model you have.

  • Rubbish. Dont post ads, ozbargain is for bargains, not rubbish 'save 5c if u spend $100' type deals

  • negative

  • I am buying one from Amazon US.

    • Wait for few days US $ is going to fall even further down
