Hi guys, I also got this error while I had two items in my cart. I tried ordering only the first item and seemed to work (I then assumed the second item was out of stock). I proceeded to order the second item and it worked! YMMV.
The exclusion page says: If you receive “checkout technical error” message at the checkout, the item you would like to purchase is no longer available, please select an alternative option. Fulfilment is subject to availability and delivery delays may be incurred".
