[VIC] Gerni 105.5 Classic 1520 PSI Pressure Wash $69 @ Bunnings, Hoppers Crossing

190

Got about a year ago for exactly the same price. On sale.
I cannot emphasise enough how good these are. A must have. On specials again at Bunnings Hoppers Crossing store. From memory, these are about $115 normal price. I stand to be corrected though.

Possible at others store too?

If in doubt, go for it. Won’t regret for this price.

Cheers.

  • Can I price match at another Bunnings

  • This looks good. I have been waiting to see if Bunnings do a price drop on a pressure washer to match the ALDI unit to go onsale around the 16/11/19: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/494361

  • Is this suitable for cars ?

    • Yes.

    • Apparently 1400-1600 PSI is the range for car use, and it shouldn't damage the paint unless unless you spray close up to a paint chip area. So, I guess, yes!

Dont see this model on the website. Maybe your store is getting rid of old stock. Deffo worth a look in my local on the way home.

  • This one or Aldi ???
on paper Aldi seems to be cheaper around $20 with similar pressure setting or i am missing something?

    • "Metal pump for high durability" - whether that makes any difference is another thing.

I would choose the Gerni, but if you aren't near Hoppers then get the Aldi one I guess.

Personally I would prefer Bunnings for the sake of their customer service. You have it for about 5 years. I mean in general.
Aldi going for a year and standard warranty, I wd go for it if I don’t babe an option at Bunnings.

I had an Aldi one a few years ago. The hose between the pump and gun got a leak after a year or so. I tried calling the service number numerous times only to be asked to leave a message which was never answered . In the end I had to ditch the whole unit because I could not just buy a spare hose - wasteful, and unnecessarily expensive. No more Aldi pressure washers for me.

    • Thanks guys for valuable input, appreciate. Looks like Bunnings one is a winner, I live near hoppers crossing, should be able to get from store.

  • I spoke to a Bunning's member on the weekend and they advised that Nelfisk is going to stop selling Gerni in Australia. Once Bunning's stock runs out, that's it.

So did I and I heard that Bunnings was taking over the ENTIRE distribution of the Gerni brand.

Hmmm the plot thickens, wonder which is correct?

      • Yes I just heard this recently too

  • Soooo. I called a bunnings, worker said there's no stock.

Bunnings #2 said that this is the normal price (No sale or discount- this gerni just has less attachments, even though pressure is stronger than the $129 one).

Worker here also advised that it's been taken off shelves due to there being a problem with it. They said they need to assess and then bring it back on shelves.

I guess hoppers crossing either hasn't gotten the memo or is ignoring it.

    Edit:

Store #3: item is just $69 normally but is suspended

  • A year ago it was $25 in SA and

spoke to the guy and he says it is clearance nationwide as they are not restocking them anymore

One year later stock is still being cleared and given a $49 price rise.
