Cheapest price for both games that I have seen, comes to just over $60 a game.
This isn't the official dual pack AFAIK so don't buy if you are looking for the Steelbook.

What special are you talking about? Sounds interesting.
Interesting, wonder if it will be lower than this price.
I had this pack in my cart and Ebay told me that it was eligible for the pinch11 code, thats how I found it.
Do you need to buy both games? Is it only to collect all all Pokémon and the story etc is the same?
The basic story is the same.
Each version has certain exclusives, such as different Pokemon or gym leaders, but you certainly don't need to buy them both.

You don't need to buy both but I own every mainline Pokemon game that has ever been released, can't see myself stopping any time soon.
I've never bought both in the series.
The idea is you're supposed to socialise in real life and trade with someone who owns the other copy.
Still up to their old money grabbing tricks releasing 1.1 games as two in the hope of double dips.
Its completely optional though, you can use the GTS nowadays to find mons you won't normally catch.
The ultra Sun/Moon 2 extra games was a huge money grab though, its the new game + of Emerald/Crystal/Platinum but somehow stretched into 2 games.

These are the 13th in the series to have two games.
Last one was released less than a year ago.
Really got to cancel whichever one I don't want from Amazon.
How did you see this .. they were supposedly announcing on their facebook (6PM EST) page a special (with a 15min window) I have been reloading and don't see this… i'm guessing this is it?
