  • Order was delayed till Tuesday on amazon / auspost but just got delivered (brisbane). Still hope for some.

  • Auspost notified that my game was delivered but it was not.

Anyone who got theirs did it come shrink wrapped?

If so I reckon will go to JB tonight and get a copy, play that over the weekend and then return the amazon copy to JB when I get it

    Thoughts?

    • Anyone who got theirs did it come shrink wrapped?

      Yup

Thanks - I will be able to play tonight then :)

For anyone who preordered a month ago and delivery is delayed, contact Amazon support and ask for compensation.
Cite the text on the page "Want it delivered the day it's released? Choose FREE Expedited Delivery at checkout." and false advertising.
I did this and received this response:

"I've escalated the issue to shipping department and asked them to take stern action to avoid such instances in near future. Each report they receive is investigated and the appropriate action is taken.

Please be assured that we will continue working hard to ensure that you receive accurate service, and to minimize the chances of anything like this occurring again.

As a token of apology for the delay, I've issued a $20.00 promotional certificate to your Amazon.com.au account, which will automatically apply the next time you order an eligible item sold and shipped by Amazon AU.:"

Well I didn't do it a month ago but was still quoted that earlier this week and now being told it won't be delivered till next week.

So contact Amazon support and ask for compensation. You still won't get it delivered on time but maybe they'll give you the 20 dollars credit.

They must of had this from numerous people I only got $15 xD

          • @Swizze: I got offered $10. They said that's the maximum they can issue. Wondering how to mention everyone else got $15 or $20 >_>

They asked me for either the agent's name or my friend's email address so they can check.

            • @jace88: I got one-month free prime membership

              • @Tames71: They gave me a choice of $10 or one month prime. I figured prime is only like $7 a month so went with the credit.

                • @jace88: I Was thinking of asking for that but then I thought there is probably a spend threshold you have to have before you can use the discount ( that's what I got last time) so went with the free prime instead.

                  • @Tames71: I just posted in the other thread but when you’re asked in the post chat survey whether you’re happy, I gave two stars and explained my frustration. Then I got asked if it’s ok for amazon to call me to discuss and then suddenly they offered me an extra $20 and to get the courier to deliver it at 9am on Monday instead of Tuesday.

@jace88: That's pretty damn good service if I must say - would have been better for them to deliver on time though

                      • @Duplicity: Surprised me too. But I'm now at the point where my default place to look first is Amazon… but I always do a price comparison with eBay at a minimum and of course, OzBargain. So I guess the customer service and good shipping/packaging tactics are working.

Thanks for the suggestion. I emailed Amazon support and received a $15 voucher.

Disappointed I don’t have the game for the weekend but satisfied with how Amazon handled it in the end.

  • Received my Dual Pack Steelbook Edition this afternoon (Sydney Metro).

  • Received mine around ~12pm, sadly can't play until Saturday morning or Sunday proper….

  • Don't preorder with Amazon if you want to get the game on release day. I have preordered with them two times and both times have not received it on release day. They ship way too late to the point where you will not get it till a few days after release.

I got it on release day. I live near Adelaide. Wondering if people who don't get it on release day live further out from capital cities?

      • Ditto. I'm in south-west Sydney.

I sort of wish I didn't get it on time and got a $20 credit instead though! I've enough of a Switch pile of shame to ignore that first world problem

      • I'm in Perth so it shouldn't be much of a problem. :/

      • I live within 1km of Sydney CBD so I don’t think that’s the reason. Amazon said they had stock sourcing issues and hence were only able to ship out on Friday but I’ve been promised even though website says Tuesday delivery, they’ve escalated to get it first thing Monday morning.

        • Mine shipped on Thursday and says it will arrive on Monday.

  • I got a 10c refund on the game after i received it. Will this muck with the cashback? I ordered back when it was 10% so actually worthwhile and hope not to lose over 10c.
