      Look at the exclusive Pokémon. If there’s one you can’t miss, get the edition with that one.

      Otherwise, just do what I do and choose the one with the box art you prefer.

        I agree on the legendary on shield being better. And it has Tyranitar.

        But I think the rest of the sword exclusives are better than shield.

              @aragornelessar: $5 pre-order has been around for awhile, so I'd say they would honour it. If you pre-ordered it when it was posted on ozbargain earlier I'd say you qualify.

      My copy of death stranding arrived the Monday after release. so don't count on release day delivery with amazon.

        Mine too. All through the pre-order period it stated release date delivery, but the moment it was actually sent and handed off to Australia Post it became Monday the 11th.

        what ?? I've been reading comments that people are getting certain pre-orders early. Did you guys choose the expedited delivery or just standard delivery ? Going to be very disappointed but I have a full weekend anyway, so Monday isn't too bad.

          Expedited with release day delivery, but they didn't send it out until Thursday afternoon and from NSW whereas i'm in VIC. The customer service rep said it was delayed due to there being "too many orders" and Aus post couldn't handle them all at once or something.

              I have checked the tracking and both orders are planned to ship on Wednesday, 13 November 2019 and you will receive the orders by Friday, 15 November 2019.

                @PepsImax600ml: I have pre ordered every single major switch release from Amazon since they started.

                All have arrived release day except one, which is always annoying as switch games release on a Friday.

                They all say shipping on a Wednesday, as prime is meant to offer 2 day shipping.

                But what had always happened is they post on Thursday (sometimes quite late in the evening) via express and arrives on Friday.

        I wouldn't guarantee it.
        My Death Stranding order did not get delivered on release day. Amazon did let me cancel the order however, so I just went and picked it up from JB Hifi because I wanted to play that night.
        I've had 4-5 other pre-orders from Amazon arrive on release day though.

      Mine hasn't been updated either. Live chat claimed all orders of the game had no pre-order price guarantee which i promptly sent her the link to this page. She then changed her tone to say that the price should update after a while, otherwise i can contact them again for refunding the difference.

    I ordered this when Shopback had the 12% cash back on Amazon.
    Anyone know if the cash back will reduce to reflect the lower price, if it will lose tracking and not pay out at all or what might happen?

      Additionally I paid with an Amazon gift card (bought at 5% discount from Aust Post) - now order shows a "-$5.90" balance, not sure what that will now do to things however, hopefully it goes back on the gift card.

          Unlike credit card, the gift card balance is deducted instantly when you ordered. This means when the price dropped by 5.90 it needed to refund difference back to your gift card balance.

      The new Pokemon designs are lackluster.

      The games however do have better graphics etc.

      These newer gen Pokemon games are more "casual" friendly in terms of difficulty. There are too many tools now that make the game easier which I think takes a bit away from that old school Pokemon experience. Other than that and the graphics, the core gameplay is mostly the same.

          Agreed, the buffed Exp Share is the worst thing they've done as it encourages such a boring play style. Granted you don't have to use it, but just the fact it's there is saddening :(

                    @wangasm: Basically the only way to play this game is to have a part of at LEAST 12 pokemon, probably more that you cycle through to avoid overleveling, otherwise you're going to be one shotting every gymleader/boss.

      I played Pokemon Blue as a kit - Purchased a 3DS XL for the first pokemon game on that, I really enjoyed it.

      Don't currently own a switch but seriously contemplating buying one just for this release, I mean they are all really the same…just tarted up.
