Did Luke go somewhere exciting for a holiday Christian? ;)

    • +5

OzBargainers are drunk with downvoting. People are so serious these days. Luke said in one of the recent deals he was going away on a holiday, folks.

      • Yeah that's right he did! They're what we call sooks. No other reason for it!

    • He went to Vietnam

  • +2

Any Chance for lower spec 3500X builds in the future?

    • +2

We may have one coming up in the very near future!

      Thanks,
      Christian

  • +1

    Any bundled deals planned?
And how does the pickup work? I'm willing to drive to Adelaide from Melbourne.

    • Not currently, however I'll let the team know that there's interest in one.
For customers who would like to pick up their order, we recommend letting us know by leaving a comment on your order or messaging us confirming you would like to. Once we confirm that your order is ready to pick up, we can send you our pickup address details and refund you the shipping cost after you've picked up your order.

      Thanks,
      Christian

      • Usually how long does it take for pickup order to be ready?
Both for assembled and items in boxes.

        • Average is 7 business days and we're working through a large number of orders from the previous major promotion as quickly as possible, and expect to average 7 business days from here on.

          Thanks,
          Christian

Not sure if this has been asked, is there a deal with gold PSU? It seems people really dislike the bronze one.

    • +2

      Unfortunately, not as of currently.
However, the option to upgrade to a 750W 80+ Gold is there within the configuration.

      Thanks,
      Christian

  • Reported for sockpuppeting as Luke. shakes head

  • +1

Jesus i hope those buying this arnt planning on overclocking the 3700x on that board.

    • +1

you lose performance from overclocking 3700x

you can't beat pb2/xfr2/pbo , unless you go extreme

      • The FPS on my 4.2Ghz all core 3700x at 1.25v are better than pbo with a gtx 1080. Also consumes 10 watts less power than pbo. This on 1004 agesa bios.

    • +1

The 3xxx chips are already binned very well, so there isn't a massive amount of headroom in overclocking.

Hey Luke, just thought you should know that I always need to refresh the techfast system pages after loading it up. It looks perfect, but I can't scroll at all and it seems the customisation options may be expanded as I can see both images of cases. Once refreshed I can scroll normally and all upgrade fields are collapsed. Chrome browser.

    • +4

I have noticed that on my side as well, I'll make sure let the Dev team know of this.
Thanks for letting me know and sorry for the inconvenience!

      Thanks,
      Christian

  • I've been looking for a good deal on a prebuilt for a while now. What's the cost of these parts from somewhere like PCCG? How good of a deal is this?

    • +2

The GPU alone is $1200… The CPU goes for $600 in some cases… And just like that you're out of money :)

      • +1

To answer your question a bit more seriously, I think you'd struggle to build this for less than ~$2000 even if you bought the parts cheaply and put it together yourself.

      • +2

The CPU sells for $480 most days and the GPU for around the $1k mark. This is an excellent deal though I agree.

      • Galaxy 2080 super was $1085 from PLE two weeks back.

    • +1

It's an excellent deal. You might upgrade the PSU and ram at some point as little later to see it perform a little better.

      • You might want that 3200 ram right away.

    • -2

here's a pcpartpicker list roughly thrown together for something similar.

      https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/dNs7TC

$2058.60 but all different sellers and postage not included.

here's another list specifically from pccasegear

      https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/cQLNq3

      $2053.00 excl. postage

      • -1

But those prices on part picker can be beaten easily enough. I recently built a pc using their system but got it around $300+ cheaper.

    • +2

You should go to PCCG and check

    • just calculated, used cheapest versions of components with no name. $1997. for this deal if ur doing a similar build u buy from this guy without question. the psu isnt a no name brand (which is main worry for these pcs, can cheap out on case memory maybe mb but not psu).

  • +15

Time to ease back on the promotion and start shipping PC's sold last month.

    • Thinking the same.
Was about to order R5-3500X Gaming PCs (16G/B350/240G SSD): RX 5700 $978 from the previous deal. The turnaround times are a bit too much for me.
If I build the same specs pc myself it'll cost me a bit higher but I can chose the vendors etc with 2-3 days delivery.

      • +8

potentially Using next deal to get money for last deal? Ponzi scheme perhaps?

        • +2

Zondor I have been wondering the same thing.

      • I had my 3500X / 580 system ship yesterday.

    • Agree

  • -1

$100 less than last time but 1TB SSD > 240GB (albeit NVME) and now a $39 upgrade for an MSI card

Still a good deal though - but maybe not as good value as last time.

  • Hey Luke, Any upcoming entry level deals coming through?
Missed out on the RTX 580 build

    • +2

We're looking to post a entry level deal within the next few days, keep your eyes peeled!

      Thanks,
      Christian

Wish it had faster ram but a killer price to performance build

  • +4

    Any deals with a i7-9700K?
Looking for something similar with that cpu and a 2070 or 2080 super.

  • i see 3700x i upvote

  • Lukas….aren’t you supposed to be on vacation?

    • TQT, aren't you reading the replies made by the rep?

  • -2

almost pulled the trigger but when entered the spec into the pcpartpicker
it came to $2545.67 compared with techfast $2533 after the upgrade
    not saved much

    https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/wjvx6R

I already try to put the cheapest parts possible if it's not the same as what TF listed

i believe it's something to do with the upgrade, when upgrading the component, TF charges you the price of the upgraded part + exisiting part as a punishment, e.g Asus Tuf WiFi X570 Motherboard $328.00 to upgrade, and this motherboard costed around $325
there's no way B350 costed nothing to them.

not to mention someone commented before pcpartpicker price is $300~400 more expensive overall comparing to ebay.

    • +3

Agreed. I was about to buy but the upgrades are at full price and do not deduct against the value to the part you are swapping out.
i.e. case upgrade is $89, for a case that retails for $99. The existing one retails for $49. So you effectively lose $39 of value in that one swap.
I looked at upgrading the motherboard but lose about $100 in value.

    • Whereabouts was it commented that PCPP is more expensive? Someone must have done the maths. Could you please link to it?

    • +1

thankx for downvoting me, made me further decide to go ahead and buy quality brand parts off ebay yesterday to compare the price with techfast.

  • Hey Christian, any chance of a 2070 Super downgrade for about $200 less?

  • Good deals Techfast I ordered the i9900 deal Son cannot wait to get it.

  • Ordered on 31 Oct for a different system, seems like it's gonna be a 10 business day dispatch time frame at the moment, just a forewarning for expectations.

  • -1

I ordered on the 3/11/2019. I have not heard anything from Techfast; I called them today during their stated "phone operational hours". It said there was no available agents and disconnected? Has anyone got anything from Techfast? Is this a legitimate business? Should I start calling my bank to reverse the charges?

    • Hi Broket,

Can you send me a PM with your order number? I can check to see where it's at, and I'll be able to let you know.

      Thanks,
      Christian
