  • About $4.95 cheaper then my local computer store, does this have free delivery? :)

    • +2

      $2.95 shipping nationwide!

  • +2

Need to mention shipping in the title. Very reasonable rates though, to Melb at least ($2.95).

Woops, will edit that. It should be $2.95 shipping nationwide! :)

    • If i buy two sticks of this RAM, will I pay $2.95 on each or will they be bundled together and I'll only be charged $.295 once?

  • do you sell any DDR3, ECC, unbuffered 1333mhz RAM? Need for workstation

  • +2

I remember selling ram sticks for $100 per MB. This would have been $205,000 worth of memory in 1995. $15 in 2011.

I wish my mobo was DDR3 - no reason not to have 8GB+ at this price..

    • what difference will i see in everyday computing/occasional gaming with 8gig compared to my 4?

      • Not much, but in a few years you might notice the difference.

      • None at all if you are running a 32 bit version of Windows!

        • +2

Even with 64-bit, you won't notice a difference.

    • "Hmm, what do I need more? A new house or some ram?" :D

My first PC had 640kb RAM, and a 1Mb upgrade was $899 (in 1988 dollars) - which was more than 10% of the cost of the entire machine (an NEC PowerMate II+, running at a staggering 12MHz, with a 140Mb HDD, 5.25" FDD and 14" Super VGA 800x600: a steal at almost $8k).

Five years later my DX2-66 was running 20-year simulations and forecasts with a macro model… each one took 27 hours to complete if it didn't fail (on today's machines they take 4 seconds).

Ahhh the good old days; proprietary architecture (like IBM's EISA bus), Lotus 123 with no WYSIWYG, and a 'standard' HDD size of 10-20Mb. Imagine how the skiddies today would react to a desktop that had less grunt than their TV remote, less storage than the dumbest smartphone, no GUI, no CD/DVD drive, and internet at 28k (tops)?

      • I enjoyed reading your story.
I'm only 24 but I grew up using a lot of legacy and obsolete technology so I also have fond memories of trying to use DOS to play games on those humble 80's computers, which was really my parent's work computer and they hated me using it because as you know, they did cost a small fortune back then.

Will this ram work in the HP ProLiant MicroServer N36L??

    • +1

  • cheaper instore w/o delivery at msy

Some people can't afford the time to travel to MSY and wait in line, so it's fair to say that this deal is good for them.

      • MSY only 3 hours from here. Yippeee!!

  • How long is this going to last?

  • Good deal!

  • MSY beat it for pickup…out of town good deal!

    • I don't agree.
MSY is selling $17 (Kingston), just $2 cheaper, will you walk from your home to MSY?
      I don't think so.

      • I literally live 5 mins walk from GC MSY so in my case yes…

        • 20 minutes to my local MSY, so me too

  • I feel it's a bargain. Good deal. You get this from Synnex or IM?

  • It looks only this RAM module is shipping in this low cost.
Other item such as memory card has to have $15.95 shipping cost to Sydney.

Now if only I knew my HP box was definitely coming…. for $15 this would be a perfect RAM upgrade. For home server applications, doesnt have to be ECC type.
