  • Hey this thing looks cool. Should have been battery powered because I just don't see a point of bringing along a small 2.5" HDD case with built-in Wifi, but still have to remember to bring the power adapter + finding the wall socket.

  • I see after looking around it also supports USB printers in a USB print server kind of thing, I wonder if this also works with over USB devices like webcams?

  • mwave, on the description on the product's page (http://www.trueton.com.tw/product/ee/ee_wireless.htm) one of the dot points states "Let your personal printer become a network print server", however you have blacked this point out on the picture of the product box on your website. Why is this? Can it not act as a print server?

    • The version we selling does not support Print Server, that is why it has been cross out.

      • Does it support anything else other than a storage device?

  • This is what turned me off it:

Supports FAT/FAT32/EXT2 file formats and 2.5" IDE drives up to 40GB

2.5" drives go much bigger than 40GB these days.

    • Thats interesting, it says above 120GB?

  • Its all sold out - ok ozber's give back those orders for 20 or more !!! LOL

    • Power of OzBargain, again :-)

  • Damn, I was too slow & missed out! Would have been a VERY handy thing for $25 delivered…

  • Well I got a couple, email that its shipping today so I'll see how they go :)

  • Lucky Yorky!!! They appear to retail for $80 -> $100… I'm kicking myself for not bothering to follow it up for 36hrs (11pm last night) - too late by then! Bugger…

  • Wow it arrived today, works as advertised :)

  • Good on you Yorky! Rub it in why don't you?? Hey, seeing that you got 2, and obviously would only use 1,, how would you like to sell 1 @ cost + postage + nominal handling fee???

    Cheers,

  • heh I may do however I have some interested people over here locally so I'll see how I go with them first :) I even plugged a 7 port hub into this puppy and then 4 USB sticks in and it saw all 4 haha :D Oh and I'm using an 80GB ATA in it fine but I don't know if it supports over 120GB. Works drive-less as well. WPA and local folder access rules work well. Can act as a DHCP server.

Really the only feature it doesn't do is that print server thing (no biggie) but if it did that this thing would be totally awesome. In comparison I've used a two port Netcomm USB LAN solution which was over $100 just for that. This thing does that + AP + HDD hahaha.

Case is plastic fantastic (word to the wise to open it up, pull the front up gently, then slide the top out. Theres a real risk of snapping the top but it wouldn't effect it anyway with a little sticky tape… Removable antenna too.

EDIT: I tried the backup button to backup data from the USB stick to HDD, worked but I think it wiped some of the data from the stick? I'm not game enough to try that again (though the HDD I was using has bad sectors and I'm now using a 30GB).

    EDIT2: Both came with 2x CAT5 cables too :|

  • Yeah, yeah,, like I said,,, rub it in why don't you!!! I'm REAALLLY sorry I was too slow off the mark… Plz keep me in mind.
