  • $899.01 delivered @ Dell

Do Dell round down if I pay cash?

    • +1

      maybe that’s why online only?

      • Good point…

    • I am sure Dell would for you jv.

This one is probably better value at $919:

Comes with a 1050TI and 128GB SSD and 1TB HDD.

I didn't go for it as the delivery times are getting very close to Christmas.

If you are driven by price, this Asus has the 1050 for $879 delivered, and a better screen than the G3.

    • Definitely pay the extra $20 for the better graphics card

      • That one is an 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i5-8300H Processor rather than 9th.

I'd still say the better card makes it a better deal.

        • For a gamers, the better graphics card is more important
It looks like the performance jump from 8th to 9th gen CPU is not much anyway ~5%

Plus 4GB of VRAM compared to 3GB!

    • pity the Ti is out of stock

  • Does WVA display mean TN panel?

  • +1

for $919.20 there is a different variant on eBay with a 8th gen Core i5, but with a GTX 1050 Ti (4GB VRAM) and 128GB SSD (paired with 1TB HDD).

  • You would think gaming laptops would list refresh rates on their screens, rather than having to go digging for them.

    • +2

      I assume it's 60Hz unless otherwise specified.

  • I'm wondering if HDD is included or that 256 SSD is the only storage it has

    • +1

If it's not mentioned anywhere, why would you assume there is more?

  • Heads up for people seeking help:
    - The memory (RAM) on this one is bare minimum. If you tend to browse with more than 10 tabs open, upgrade to 16GB.
    - The 256GB hard drive (SSD) are good if you are sticking with 3-5 games, but the AAA titles like GTA5 or RDR2 will take up over 100GB each. For gamers I'd always recommend 512GB storage.
    - Graphics card and CPU is good to play modern games at low to medium specs

Otherwise good deal and awesome for the price tag
