Wasn't this $999 last week, or the week before?

    Edit: here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/488581

    • Pretty sure that was not the 5G model

      • Just realised! Whoops. Thanks

    • $930 or so for a refurbished, using atm.

      • Can you comment on what network are u using it on or if u were able to access 5g.

        • I'm on Telstra, I saw 5G for all but a second, it's a waste of time right now in SA. It'll get better eventually.

I just like the bigger screen…

          • @scuderiarmani: Thanks i want to try it on optus as my area says covered. I hope it works. Already ordered one.

  • Can make this 1000 AUD if you sign up with 12 months telstra port in. I wouldn't advise it though. We are 3 months or so away from the S11.

    • +1

and then another 9 months away from S12 :)

      • +1

        *12 months, so 15 months from a S12

        • Haha ye wouldn't advise ever buying any phone as there is always a new one around the corner

  • Is this model the Snapdragon855 variant?

    • Nah Exynos variant

  • What can you do with 5g atm?

Is it only on capital cities?

    • Coverage maps are available. It's very limited.

  • I'm on the S10 5G with Telstra in Sydney. When it's 5G, speed varies between 100Mbps-400Mbps, it's noticeably faster when I stream Netflix at highest res.
But from my understanding, all telcos in Australia are and will still be using sub 6Ghz freq for 5G until at least early 2021 when they can bid for mmWave spectrum (super high freq of 26GHz+ but much smaller range) and roll out will probably be late 2021 early 2022. That's when 5G will really matter and we can realistically get speed like 2Gbps+ (in theory 5G network can get as fast as 20Gbps).
So unless you want something else from the S10 5G like it's screen and/or camera like me, I'd advise against it just for the 5G.
