The Hitachi Magic Wand is carrying the entire company.
I think Hitachi TV is now owned by Tempo, which I think is basically a big investment firm/distributor of sorts. So I’m not sure how much re-investment, or R&D goes into the products these days. It’s maybe a bit like TTi who own AEG, Ryobi, Milwaukee etc. Massive Chinese firm that might just be pumping out the same sort of stuff? Not to say there’s anything wrong with Ryobi, or Hitachi, just that I think Hitachi TV is no longer directly associated with the Japanese firm.
The Hitachi name for TVs was sold off to different companies in various regions around the world

the lg prices are average, cheaper on ebay, hitachi price is no good can get 75" for $1495 but that price isn't good either was $1196 recently
Goodguys cannington was willing to sell the LG 75 for $1600 + free delivery. I didn't buy it because the TV is not as good as Samsung 75 Inch Series 7 RU7100 4K TV. Samsung TV has around 6 cm depth compared to 9 cm depth of LG TV. Samsung TV is also the product review award winner.
