What are the chances I buy this and can sell my old Gigabyte 1080 for $600

    • +24

      between 0 to 100%

      • +2

        I like those odds

    • +3

You'd be lucky to sell your 1080 for $600. You will be looking at closer to $500 i'd say.

      • +5

I got mine for $300 gumtree

    • +2

Low, unless you get really lucky. Seems most second hand 1080's are going for under $500 on ebay and gumtree. Some are at around the $400 mark.

    • +1

      0, u can get 1080tis for 600-650 lol

  • I'm hoping the haming x comes back, but if not I'll grab this. Great card, but not worth being a few bucks off the gaming x.

    • Yea i snagged one of the few Gaming Xs as i thought an extra $8 probably worth it for a more premium card. But I wouldve been happy with the GBT either way

      • Damm Was too late, to get the gaming X.. wonder if they will come back instock before the promotion ends?

        • No idea.. All I know is they had 4 in stock just before 10am

CA has overpriced the card by about $60. So the saving isn't that great, dislike when eBay seller overprice the card so when it gets a discount it should be better

    $709.89
[R57XTGAMING-OC-8GD] Gigabyte AMD, Radeon RX 5700 XT, Gaming OC, 1905MHz, 8…
    MegaBuy logo MegaBuy (QLD)

    OR RETAIL AT MSY

    $729.00
    Gigabyte Radeon (R57XTGAMING OC-8GD) 8GB RX 5700 XT GAMING OC PCI-E VGA Car…
    MSY logo MSY

so if the card was overpriced we'd get a better 576 price point. The who lets inflated the price by $60 isn't on

Hopefully you all get better cards that I got.
My Gigabyte RX 5700 XT Gaming OC is currently back in it's box. Name a issue and it likely has it.
BSoD? Check. Random bright green screen? Check. Poor sound? Check.
Device claiming loss of signal? Check.
Absolutely random so making warranty claims difficult? Check.

I have no clue what to do with it.
When it works it works it's great. When it doesn't want to work which it's a massive pain in the butt. :(

Cancelled my order. Going to choose 2070 super instead. Don't want to risk it for $150 difference

    • Do you think the sold you a demo or used one without telling you or just the quality isn't up there

  • +1

Few dollars cheaper here btw: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/497369

    • Reckon I should wait for it/the gaming x to come back in stock here? Or is futu as good with warranty?

      • +1

Only bought once from Futu with no experience with warranty claims. But I imagine they must be ok given the prolific deals posted on Ozb from them all the time

        • I'll see if they restock then, if not will just run with futu.

  • Received my Gaming-X yesterday, fast overnight delivery.

    • I'm wondering why my order on Monday morning was only shipped on Wednesday at midday… How can they be so good on one orders delivery and poor on another?

      • I ordered mine on Monday morning, got shipped and tracking on Monday night via AusPost, and has been processed in QLD on Wednesday. I blame AusPost for slow shipping.
