to me the note 8t is superior in everyway
its newer, 6.3 vs 5.8, i prefer SDM665 over Kirin. Gorilla 5 vs nothing on the Nova.
I think the cameras arent even comparable on paper… 48mp vs 16mp (LOL!)
Video is stabilised on the Note, nothing on the Huawei

ACCORDING TO GSM THE NOTE HAS BAND 28! Nada on the Nova.
NFC is on all version of the Note, only on one version out of six on the nova.
Its not even fair, the Note 8 slaughters the Huawei.

You get what you pay for. The camera is one of the bigger things that cheaper phones compromise on. So I'd say if you want a good camera, go with the higher end phones, and forget the Redmi's. The Mi's though… that's a different story.
Completely understand this however with phones advancing so much over the last few years, if someone was upgrading deform say an iPhone 6 to the Redmi note 8T would the camera be an improvement in picture quality alone? Disregard all the new camera features.
Yes, it's actually compare pretty well against iPhone 11 with GCam. And that's far better than iPhone X.

Fairly quickly, however their tracking is slow to start/update.
If they have stock, they’re quick, within a day or so. But, the “in-stock” status on their website is fake - so - if they do not have stock, you might be waiting 7-10 days before it ships. Only true way to know if they have stock is to email them.
Can anyone confirm this phone has b28?
That is a puzzler. Kimovil and Gsmarena says the Note 8T does have B28 but Tobydeals say their version doesn't. Ask Tobydeals to check.

Thia is the only model number I can find for the 8T. Some quote other model numbers but they are for the plain Note 8.

hey mate, Xiaomi's official listing for the product indicates a basic plastic case is included in the packaging. And you can buy screen protector on ebay express shipped for $4.95.

Personally I prefer MIUI. I have never seen or heard any real opinion that convinces me otherwise. Most people change out of boredom.

Seems to have it all… B28 NFC Good cameras big battery and a high res screen. Have seen nothing close for features and build quality.
These big phones are slippery and easily damaged so I would recommend a good full cover case.

not yet… despite their website stating it was in stock, they did not have any, so it didn't ship til 25th and is still in transit. currently in Sydney.

I reckon trying to get a case to fit this might be abit hard. Seems there is slight variations in dimensions between this and the normal 8. I remember having this issue when I bought the Kate version of the Note Pro 3 many years ago
yeah its a very very new device and a few mm taller than the standard note 8.
Going from Mi website a basic soft plastic one is included, and aliexpress have a good range, just need to make do with the basic one until aliexpress shipping comes thru
