      • Haha if you'd like. As mentioned in my replied comment.

"I think I'm below average height so a lot of chairs I've tried my knees aren't perpendicular to the floor so I've always had to get some kind of feet support.

It is tempting…but maybe unnecessary… Never bought a chair that much before"

      • yes please

      • Hi, so What's the status?

How to get your workplace to buy you such things if you have no medical need?

    • Be good mates with one of the finance managers to sign off…

Compared to Steelcase/Herman Miller/Haworth - these are garbage.

  • +3

How good is this compared to herman miller or steelcase chair?

    • Not great. People may downvote my previous comment, but there's a reason no major company is Australia buys these over the 3 brands listed above - they are just not on the same level. I've worked with ergonomist for a few years and not one of them has ever recommended a ergohuman chair (even when being tested).

I got one there yesterday. I'm 185cm and 105kg and I find it quite comfy, very adjustable. It's definitely more of a 'sit upright at computer' seat so it's been good for gaming, I cna imagine if you work from home or whatever it should be grand for you. It's alright for lounging and watching Netflix but I'd love if it was a smidgen wider and reclined just a tiny bit more for that stuff but having said that I'm happy with my purchase. Oh and the all mesh is definitely cooler, normally I'd have the usual sweaty back etc during the day but this has done a good job. I'd think it'll be on the wrong side of cool come the winter though but I can work around that. Also I'm interested to see if the mesh seat holds up over time or will it sag or tear or whatever but it appears well made.

    • How are the armrests? Are they comfortable/wide enough for someone around 100kg and 182cm height? I saw someone saying under a review video that the armrests aren't adjustable and it's the one part they don't like about the chair, although they didn't mention their height and weight.

The armrest are adjustable up and down, left and right and they swivel. I am 192cm and a lot heavier. I put mine at the bottom setting.

    • Have your wife tried it? What's her feedback?

  • Did anyone else find that the lower back support was digging into their back?
I tried numerous adjustments but it was so uncomfortable that I had to refund it
    I'm 175cm for reference

  • I bought one, my current chair is starting to show it's age so…

  • If buying through the ebay store, do we still get 10 years warranty?

  • Got mine today. Putting it together was a piece of cake. Initial sit test was not great, but once I adjusted almost everything to suit it is near perfect. Pretty happy.

It is made of a lot of heavy duty metals, doesn't feel cheap at all.

I'm around 190cm tall and find the headrest is just about right at max setting but you wouldn't want to be any taller.

    • I can confirm this, I am 192cm and the headrest is at the max setting. The headrest I believe can be tilted (but I am not sure).

      • Yeah seems to have 2 positions of tilt. I tilted it upwards a bit for a bit more comfort. It doesn't move easily and requires a bit of force to move (but stays in position well I guess too).
