Lenovo G560 Laptop Core i3-380 4GB GeForce310M 500GB for $409 after cashback - OrangeIT eBay

140

It's quite similar to the previous Lenovo G560 deal from OrangeIT, this one just seems to have an i3-380m, GeForce 310m 1GB graphics, HDMI and eSATA ports. That is what I could see while I'm on my bus right now xD I'm finding the price pretty good.

  • The ebay listing doesn't indicate HDMI and eSATA ports. Does it have them or not?

    • I swear I saw it, they might have just updated the listing.

I bought one of these , I still have , and absolutely hate one particular aspect of this laptops.

The fn and ctrl keys are in the wrong place.

the bottom left corner is the FN key which is practically useless as compared to the Ctrl key. You will have to reprogram your reflexes to change 10 years of neuro muscular programming using CTRL + C to get used to this keyboard.

I absolutely hated it, still do as a matter of fact ! Woudl not recommend it at all. The Chinese screwed the IBM legacy as in the old IBM laptops you could reconfigure the keyboard to change the function of the Fn key in this one you can't.

      Hi Dealman,

I think there is an option in the Bios that you can Swap these functions…

    • Friend of mine has a Lenovo. The switching of the buttons gets me every time. Not sure if I would refrain from buying one for that reason, but it certainly is very annoying if companies decide to "redesign" the standard keyboard layout. Not sure why you get negged for pointing it out.

      • He got negged coz he negged the deal for that reason. It's still a good deal. He could of just left a comment.

        • ah, I hadn't seen the negative vote. Yes, I do agree the deal is good.

    Hi guys,

Wonder if this one is a better deal that than one from MLN

    https://www.mln.com.au/bargainbuys/ @ 388$ or 419$ including delivery

    • the one from MLN has integrated graphics… but it's pretty hard to beat $365 inc shipping for the MLN one!
      I just snapped up 3 ;)

Limit of 1 per customer btw…

    • The MLN one looks better to me, but I'd love to hear more informed comments than my own

    • MLN should be posted in its own right…

fantastic… wonder if it would do 1080P over HDMI…

without windows (linux)using it as a media centre should be around 200 bux

not sure if they can do them without software though.

      • Thanks Wisc, posted on its own!!

  • So at OrangeIT for $42 more you get:
(assuming MLN $367 delivered vs. $409 delivered)
    - i3 380m vs 370m (~5% faster)
    - GeForce 310m 1GB as your discrete graphics. Dated but still better than integrated I guess.

    Which is better? :)

    • Yeah. Is there something you know neophyte2 that we don't?

    • MLN one is better in this case….i think
ppl who buy this is not gonna use it for gaming or high level graphics design work.
(would have gone for a better GPU in that case)

so….5% CPU speed diff is not much of diff…
…save up the extra $50, and go for MLN deal.

    • I think the MLN one is better. because MLN one has HDMI and good graphic process ability. the other one using GL40 chipset and it's a little older.

      • think its using the GMA HD… which isnt too bad… plays blurays etc.

(looked up the model number and another site had that… not confirmed though)

  • good deal

  • Was this 399 yesterday?
I looked on website and is 499 today?

    • It's an ebay deal.
