    Any Dell desktop deal?

  • How is the display like?

  • It was cheaper and better specs last week

And or the 15inch version was also cheaper and had better specs

I just realised the previous deals had older i7 version whereas the new deal has newer i7, my bad.

CPU for gaming is overrated anyway. It's all about the GPU

  • srs m.2 ssd, but a 1tb HDD? 1tb SSD is only about $180

    • -2

any point having a m.2 boot drive but then 1tb HDD for your games in a gaming laptop?

like using a ferrari to tow your trailer.

      • 1tb ssd is 100ish. But your analogy is not accurate.

        • why wouldn't you want a ssd to run your games after paying almost $2000?

  • Noob question, what is the difference between these line and the alienware? What makes alienware much more expensive?

      The brand name

Chassis engineering (cooling, strength and durability, possibly the quality of components (which brand of memory, ssd, hdd, etc), quality of other components (keyboard, mouse trackpad, screen, motherboard chipset, wifi/bt chipset)

      • Thanks that makes sense.

Other than 8 GB RAM, it's a great value. RTX 2060 handles most titles quite well at 1080p.

  • This looks like its got a smaller screen but better overrall for not too much more

I agree with you that the 15" laptop is better for most people but it's almost a thousand bucks more for a 1 gen older CPU (better GPU though.)
