Sony Bravia 32" HD LCD (KDL32BX320) $399 at Dick Smith Karrinyup (WA) Only

70

First post but long time user. (Don't know how much money saved from this site or spend!)
Saw last night at dick smith Karrinyup store. (Grand Opening - new shop)
GreatWhiteHunter mentioned this TV a couple days ago for $449 from BIG W.
It's not a Full HD LCD but I think it a good deal for people in Perth who wants a brand name 32" LCD rather than SONIQ or VIVO.
The sales guy said that they have stocks but I suggest to call them first.
Good luck.

    • A friend had a SHRAP calculator. The font was the correct style, he didn't notice until I pointed it out.

  • Is this a Chinese fake of a Sony ????

    • What????? DSE doesn't sell fakes.

  • is it better than the bravia, or worse?

You get a TV shipped with a big FLAGILE sticker on it.

  • WXGA (HD) 1366 x 768 and Cold cathode back lit.

  • I have this model and am very pleased with it. Use it exclusively for consoles (currently connected to the PS3) and it has the Bravia Sync feature, which allows u to control some functions of the PS3 using the TV's remote. For the price, can't be beat.

Also, I do not like how movies look like through FULL HD and blu-ray as they look cartoonish. So I prefer WXGA any day.

The cartoonish look would be with 100Hz/200Hz/IFC features turned on, that's nothing to do with a Full HD res. I know what you mean as I notice this also.

Not a bad deal but given that it is not Full HD it's not that great really - there's no reason not to go Full HD these days.

    • Cartoonish? You mean like the picture quality is unbalanced or colours don't look natural?

For this size, you don't need Full HD. You can't fit that many pixels in 32"…

They keep banging on how retail shops are closing down and everyone is now buying online. (bricks and mortar vs. click and order)
