Not sure if AU stock or not. If AU stock, possibly best price on Pixel 3a XL so far?

Mod Note: Grey Stock.

  • First time posting, I've been looking for a good deal on mobile phones.. Should I wait for a better deal on Black Friday or should I take this deal? and anything to worry about grey stock? Thanks

    • Only major issue with overseas models is the lack of AU support and lack of AU power plug.

Often an issue is network support however the 3a was released as a global model so this isn't an issue.

    • +1

$700 for a budget Pixel nearly a year old imported seems very expensive. That's what I paid for an S10e local stock.

      • Pixel experience is probably the only reason why I gravitate towards 3a xl. Spec isn't as good but pixel phones are just superior in user experience in my opinion. I haven't bought Grey stock before, if I get this would it not have warranty in aus?

        • Yea I just prefer the experience of quality and don't appreciate bugs so I don't use my work pixels much. Also having more than a single lens camera, enough ram to not require reloading webpages constantly, better water resistance, and realistic storage makes sense to me, so again paying that much for such a low tier device shouldn't appeal to everyone. Pixel 4 would be a better deal at this price. Keep in mind 64gb only and no original quality backups. So it's not as simple as being "just superior" use expressive at all. The point is your can get an actual flagship for the same price, with significantly better hardware and specs.

          • @onlinepred: Sure mate 👍

            • @[Deactivated]: Check out the Oneplus 7t, top range specs (Except for camera, but its not a bad camera to be fair).

They are all imports with questionable warranty, but they run a super light skin and have been good on updates so far.

              • @Joshzors: Yeah it's really down to OnePlus 7t vs Pixel 3a xl vs galaxy s10e or note 10..
Oneplus 7t has best spec and probably the fastest. I don't really care for water resistance and wireless charging so it's not a huge deal for me but non existent local support is my only worry although I have never claimed warranty on all the phones I owned.. Pixel 3a xl is only there cus I quite like my pixel 2 and I just want bigger screen and better battery. Samsung is overall the best but I just dislike their ui - I have galaxy tab s6 and wife's note 10+

I think I'll get whatever gives me best value on black Friday! 😊

                • @[Deactivated]: Yeah I found my 7 Pro 8/256 at a local store, so I guess if anything went wrong I could hassle them.

But at the end of the day you can buy 2x Oneplus phones for the price of an iPhone/Samsung Note(Granted not with the sales they have had recently).

  • Pixel 3A series keep their price very well, even Pixel 4 can be had cheaper than 3A using JB Telstra($199 + $390).

  • +2

Considering the RRP is $799 and I'm sure you can negotiate a better deal at JB or use discounted gift cards, this is hardly worth it.

And it's not even Australian stock.
