Optus 4G OPPO AX5s $199 @ Woolworths

I recently noticed the PICKUP15 promo code and decided to go on a little bit of a hunt just for fun. While I don't usually advocate buying phones in Australia considering what is available with a bit of digging, this seemed like some pretty good value if you want an Australian delivered phone!
The Oppo AX5S: (Specs are from a certain comparison site)
86352 Antutu
3GB ram
64GB storage
4230mah battery
6.2" HD screen (720 x 1520 px)
MediaTek Helio P35 MT6765 (4×Cortex A53 2.3GHz+4×Cortex A53 1.8GHz)
PowerVR GE8320 GPU
Android 8.1-ish…
OPTUS VERIFIED:
3G Network Band 1/2/4/8
4G Network FDD-LTE: Bands 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/18/19/20/26/28 TD-LTE: Bands 38/39/40/41
The price listed on the Woolworths site is $199 vs $249 from other retailers. I may be slightly off in how it's calculated but it SHOULD be in the region of $166 TOTAL.
- Go to shopback and buy your Woolworth's gift card at 5% off https://www.shopback.com.au/woolworths-gift-cards
- Wait…
- Go to the Woolworths site https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/870290, order the phone, enter the promo code PICKUP15 and pay using your gift card.
- Be eligible for a 4c off fuel voucher and approximately 550 woolworths reward points meaning you'll 'earn' about $3 worth of points by buying this phone.
- Enjoy your phone, while nothing truly special it should be pretty darn good for the price!
The phone SHOULD come out in the region of $172 all things considered.
(I'm fully expecting to have bricks thrown at my head, this deal was posted on a complete lack of sleep)

Have you recharged your service to a minimum / accumulated amount of $80.00?
Yes: There is no fee to network unlock your handset
No: How long has your service been active?
Less than 6 months: There is an $80 fee
More than 6 months: There is a $25 fee - +1 vote
Yes but it does not have the 3G 850 MHz band, so Telstra 3G calling won't work.
Point being that potential buyers should be aware that it's not a good device if the intention is to unlock it and use it with Telstra
@twister292: I doubt it would since it's an Optus spec phone
Considering you are associated, what's the staff discount like these days? Ie on this item?

I have NFI!
I'm just a contractor who moves their s**t! I take an item they sell, put it in my van and transport it to another place where I then give it to their customer (and usually their addict). The only benefit I get is sometimes I can wander around the back storage area.
I get paid pretty well for it though!

Also, if you activate and recharge $30+ on the Epic Data prepaid plan (35GB, 28 days) you'll be eligible for a free fitness watch, plus two free recharges…
Isn't the A20 comparable? Both released April 2019, but as low as $150.

Samsung A20 has lower GHz (1.6 < 2.3 GHz), but more powerful (cortex A73 >> A53).
Definitely, but I couldn't find it listed on the actual store website
I meant a20.
A20 is for Vodafone and Telstra.
The Oppo is for Optus.
Can't really compare prices can you? Apples Vs oranges.
@tightwad: Let's not bring Apple into this too. And Orange Mobile hasn't been a thing here for years.

$159 at AUS Post today. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/498235
@bargainparker: Thanks. I saw that, but I need an Optus phone. How much is it to unlock?
@tightwad just got your comment. I see you got an answer but:
Search OZB for "A20" https://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/a20 turns up 2 Telstra A20's (I've also seen them in Telstra store) on the first page, both $179. This one isn't marked as expired (but might be): https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/493678
The Oppo phone has a better processor, more internal storage.
The Samsung has a larger screen, NFC and (probably) better availability of accessories.
A20: Antutu 88,710, slightly better, but really nothing in it https://www.kimovil.com/en/samsung-galaxy-a20/antutu
Are you eligible for 2.5% Shopback considering you are paying by eGiftCard?
