Telstra, $50 off Pre Paid Phones, Samsung, iPhone, etc, from $79

Title is misleading. None of those phones are $79

    • Keyword is etc.

    • Not intentionally misleading. They have phones from $97, and they have iPhone and Samsungs.

  • From $29 actually - Alcatel U5 3G which also includes $10 prepaid card.

  • Sorry but I assume all phone is lock with telstra?

  • Nokia 2.2 for $119 is a good deal. Thanks OP.

Iphone 7 for $479 might be a better buy for anyone looking at the Iphone 6s ($50 more)

    • Yes.OP should add 7 instead of 6s

  • Got my 12 yr old the A20 from Coles after seeing this deal. Same price.

  • Will this work with Telstra Postpaid?

    • +1

      Indubitably.

They are network locked to Telstra, but will operate with any Telstra SIM card, or other brands that operate on the Telstra network (eg. Boost, Aldi, etc).

      • Does it work with belong?

  • Galaxy A30 or Xiaomi Mi A3?

  • Is there a cheaper way to unlock (in <6 months) than the official $80 service?

No need explanation. OzBargain favourite budget phone is back.
3GB/32GB, NFC, FM Radio, Headphones Jack!

    • 2.4ghz wifi and an average camera too, but otherwise it's a great phone. Battery life and Screen make this the best budget phone IMO. Great for spare/parents/people who don't care for the latest.

    • Paid $144 last month for Vodafone version (a few $ to unlock) at big w

      • How much did it cost to unlock?

        • 'Unlocking your prepaid Vodafone handset will cost you: $50 if you've had your device for less than 6 months. $25 if you've had your device for more than 6 months'

From memory Telstra is a fair bit more.

Fram a previous deal: "Unlock @ Fonefunshop for 3 pounds.(fonefunshop.com) Using 28Degrees Mastercard it converted to AU $5.74" (thanks to Arthur Dunger)

          • @John K: Such an easy process……not.

          • @John K: Did you have an issue with the unlock software from Fonefunshop as it has virus (detected by Windows Security Defender)?

    • Says 2gb ram on telstras website (they are wrong, just heads up)

    • Can you so any price match somewhere?

How was the new Star Wars movie?

    • Anyone given one to their "older" parents? Thinking about this from an iPhone 5 for my mother. Cheap basic phone that does more.

      • +2

Yep, gave to my dad, far better than some junk $100 handset you'd find in a Supermarket.

Battery life being it's best feature, big screen obviously nice too.

Maybe as an iPhone user she'd take some adjusting, but it'd beat an overpriced Apple in that situation. You won't match this screen size atleast.

    • Its $80 fee to unlock off Telstra

  • OK just saw did a quick read of the reviews from Samsung A20 owners on the Samsumg site and mostly good. However a couple of users had the following issues. Screen cracks easily, doesn't come with earbuds, a bit slow, can easily become faulty if any water gets near it. There are a lot of good reviews. I have an old S5, but keen to eventually get a new phone out of the Samsung range. Is the A70 better than the A20? How old is the A20, when was it released?

    • You may be better off with an S8 or S9 second hand

  • Dont think A20 is available on website anymore.. but was able to get it in store for same price.
