    I'm still fighting for them to give me the cashback on the 20% deal last week… They are refusing which is not good on a $250 purchase. I used the app and it still didn't track so I wouldn't trust them.

    • Same here, I had 4 purchases and none of them tracked, I've got an email from shopback to tell me I must lodge a claim within the next 5 days and it took me more than half an hour to fill out their online forms with photos of the vouchers and it must be one transaction per form, asking different information, tbh, now I won't be bother with Groupon deal on shopback, I value my time more than this crap !

        If you guys work out how to get them to listen to you let me know… They rejected my claim in 2 days. I'm escalating it now, because the 20% is the only reason I ordered in the first place. I wouldn't have upgraded without it.

        This is the email response I got:
        "Thank you for your patience!

        Upon receiving the updates from Groupon, your Missing Cashback claim for Order ID xxxxxxxxxxxxx was rejected because your order was not attributed to ShopBack.

        While you have made a purchase on Groupon via the ShopBack platform, the following scenarios may have disrupted the trackability of your transaction:

        1. Using promo codes that are not eligible for cashback
        2. Opening of web pages (including search sites, social media, store sites, promotional/discount sites) or web browsers after clicking through ShopBack
        3. Clicking through to another page from a banner or an advertisement on the store’s website whilst shopping

        Here are some tips to ensure a successful transaction:
        1. Avoid the above-mentioned scenarios during your next purchase
        2. Clear your shopping cart before clicking through ShopBack
        3. Use a Private Window or Incognito mode on your browser
        4. Please disable Antivirus/cleanup or Adblocker application completely as it may disrupt the tracking of cashback

          That's what annoys me ! I can not really pin point what time of the click it is relating to the particular sale because I was looking at different things and when I decided to buy I always click through shopback then to Groupon to finish the purchase, but because of that I have a lot of clicks in the shopback system. I am now bracing for the same reply I might get from Groupon because of this, to me it is like a scam and thats why I said never Groupon through shopback again. Like you, I made those purchase due to the 20% flash sale otherwise I would not have bought them.

          • @sistermay: If you feel it's like a scam (it does sound like it as you're not the only one), you should report it to ACCC (https://www.accc.gov.au/contact-us/contact-the-accc#for-cons…). They can point you to the right place to get help, and hopefully prevent this from happening again.
            My issue was solved when I got cheated by Exetel through ACCC (who referred me to CAV who then referred me to TIO who then contacted Exetel).

              @aximili: Thanks for the advice but I suppose they do that because how many people got scammed have that sort of time and energy to chase them ??? That's how they got away with it ! That's why it is good to have a place like Ozbargain, at least we help to alert the others not to get scammed !

        Also tried to get a refund from Groupon and they say the item is sent and they won't refund me, and I can't even send it back for a refund… What ever happened to consumer laws? Don't think I will be dealing with them again either.

    • That happens to me alot when it's 20% Cashback. I think they purposely do that.

    • After using the ap on an earlier deal for 15% it did not track. I lodged a claim and they credited a cashback from Amazon for the same day, when I did not purchase from there, for 92 cents rather than over $10 from Groupon.I queried this but received no reply. Now I cannot even raise a query again as its over 30 days from purchase.

    Has anyone else been having problems with Shopback not tracking on groupon and other deals in the last two weeks? I have been using shopback over a year without any problems but the last two weeks Shopback hasn't been tracking and I needed to do manual claiming and I am still waiting on the results of those investigations….

    Paesano international buffet is usually $49pp but on Groupon it's $59 with a drink saying it's normally $79…

      A word of warning, if you want to purchase because of their discount, DON'T !
      Now I realise my case is not an isolated one and if you read the above comments from AndyRoo and others, you probably will end up having the same problem like us !

    I've lost alot on lost tracking. It's so hard to keep track. It's not worth my time trying to claim untracked purchases. Most of the time I don't even need to buy anything but I do because of the Cashback. So annoying when it doesn't track.

    As per others above, my account does not - yet - show tracking for Groupon purchases on the 15/11.
    At the time the OzBargain post noted a few people who had not gotten their cash-back, but I thought I'd give them a try, but I'll be avoiding them in the future unless the issues get resolved.

    Can attest to Nov purchases not tracking at all on Shopback. These guys are just purely gaming us now.

    OMG I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE!!! I received the same response from Shopback! we should ban Groupon Shopback deals on Ozbargain until we actually get cashback. Otherwise it's just normal prices!!! There's no actual "deals" if consumers are not getting any cashback!!

  • Still waiting on my bonus $2 Cashback. Hasn’t tracked.

    Last time the customer rep told me I wasn’t eligible for 100% chemist warehouse Cashback and gave me a tonne of excuses. I even had screenshots (because I think they scam you purposely out large cash backs) and it was still a battle to get the Cashback

      "yes10 has expired. But we still want you to get extra savings. Take 10% off (up to $50) with this discount!"
