And if I happen to like the product, should I do this? ;)

    Initially I read that as zero-money-back. :)

Scam a company to get a meagre few dollars back for a product that is actually decent? No thanks.

Bewens is not suggesting that in the post. A bargain for those who has never tried listerine before. You shouldn't -ve based on your assumption.

      • +2

But if he's not suggesting any course of action, this just becomes an ad for Listerine.

Delfredo, you're fooling no one. Clearly that's the sole purpose and intent of posting such a 'bargain'; encouraging those to rip off the manufacturer. If you genuinely believe that it isn't and that it's intended for those solely who have never tried Listerine before, then you have my pity.

    hmmm that's really dodgy…i sense a moral/ethical debate brewing.

This is definitely NOT a "bargain" as it is manipulation of an 'offer' for purposes not related to giving away free bottles of Listerine

I dont think you are going to find much of a debate by the response so far ;)

    immoral & innapropriate

    NOT a bargain but a reminder…
Keep postin ur deals man, ur last one was a BLOODY Awesome one ! :)

  • i see this as just money back promotion, no different than any other. Not sure why all the neg.

    • +3

If it were a money back promotion then surely they'd at the very least be advertising it on their website? It isn't. It's a satisfaction guarantee or your money back, hence my -ve

    "Listerine, Zero Money Back Guarantee"

Doesn't sound that great to me.
Don't most products have something like this? I'm pretty sure that you can return nearly empty things to Coles with your receipt and say you didn't like it and get your money back.

    Negative from me.

  • Yes, Coles/Woolworths give money back on any home-brand item if you do not like it.

  • As most have mentioned, this isn't really a deal since the money back guarantee is more of a policy rather than a deal.

    Moving to forums.

Edit: Just noticed there is time limit for this policy.

To be honest, I prefer to use Listerine as it was originally intended ;)

    • +1

      if only it was 25c

  • Thanks for all your comments guys, especially the one about it's original use…kinda scary. On 2nd thought I should have posted it in the general discussion however it was only meant to make you aware of the offer. If you think I was being immoral or unjust then don't do it, pre simple. For those of you who try it and don't like it, there are the details. Companies value your feedback, and hence willing to pay for it.

  • i read some where using listerine can cause throat cancer, but i am not 100% sure this is correct.

    • it was in the news a year or two ago, but there was no evidence for the claim

  • Even for free, why would you want to subject yourself to Listerine? Disgusting stuff… yuk.

    • +1

Pretty sure you are not meant to drink it…
